I don't have the Red pack as yet so I'll have to wait and see what car(s) and tracks are used.. ;)
The simple answer is: buy all DLC!

I cant say there are any bad official cars yet many gladly drive some terrible mod content, I find it hard to bother with most mod cars as they simply cant match the official content. In the end the packs arent that expensive all less then a pint at the pub but you can always join in and sit out if there is some redpack content. The red bull ring is a great track and even if your not into modern f1 the lambo aventador and track are worth the price of the pack. There are also 2 old school Maserati F1 cars and the 488GTB road car, this along with probably the best sim f1 car versions I have had a run in. The sf15t is a very complicated beast but the 2013 car is a great more simplified modern f1 car.

My assetto corsa partner wants to join on the surprise race, would he need to create an account on XGN to give you his guild wally?

No, all he'll need is the server password, which you can give him. Don't forget, he may or may not be able to join certain sessions if he doesn't have the required DLC.

Here are some Race Results.

Check out race 1, the Audi Quattro at Red Bull Ring. Nearly everybody got a track cut penalty.

I enjoyed the X-Bow the most. That's a fun car to drive. Once you get comfortable with it, you can start to chuck it around a bit more.

You would have... if the gap to Guybrush wasn't 15 seconds ;)

Good fun.
That Xbow combo was so much fun.  Loved the slipperiness and that final chicane was great fun - except when I didn't allow enough extra distance for Grat to brake and ran into the back of him :( Sorry Grat!  But hammering through there flat out sideways just missing the bollards was great fun.
A good mix up of cars and tracks as well, although I can't say I was a massive fan of the Audi - very sloppy.
Thanks Wally.

I like the audi, buy the end after the race without too many around me.  I as able to put some good laps. With the close field it a season machine.
Thanks Wally.

Not sure what was going on with my ping last night so was trying to stay out of trouble. Went for a full reset of everything after the first race but then had to take over baby duty.

I quite like Crew Chief though sometimes it means missing stuff being said on TS. I like that 'Threepwood' is one of the names it knows. He likes to tell me Threepwood is in the lead  ;D
