Turn 1 Racing Etiquette
To avoid turn 1 incidents, in turns 1 and 2 of the opening lap, stay on your side of the track, i.e. leave racing room for the cars around you. Don't close up the gap by cutting acorss to the apex on the other side of the track. All cars will come through safely this way without big pileups. The Helicorsa app is handy for knowing where cars are around you. Pit Lane Penalty app You need to run this cut penalising app in season races, which you can download from this thread: http://www.xgn.com.au/index.php?topic=758.0 and read about here: http://www.xgn.com.au/index.php?topic=673.0 It gives you 3 warnings for cutting the track and on the 4th cut, you will get 10 seconds added to your race time at the end of the race. Redress If you hit someone else in a race and unfairly gain a position, say if they've gone off the track, you are expected to redress and give that position back as soon as it's safe to do so. The best way is to pull off the racing line on the next straight and slow a little so the other guy can pass you safely. Communicate on Teamspeak so everyone knows what you're doing. 888

You have up to the end of Saturday (23rd) to choose a car for the season. Anyone who doesn't nominate a car will have one chosen by me, to spread the mix of cars.
Also nominate a skin if you want to use a custom one by that date. Next Tuesday's warmup round (see this post) is a good opportunity to try some different cars if you haven't made your mind up yet. 890

This is the last round before Season 10 starts in earnest. You can choose whatever GT3 car you want to try or practice in at Vallelunga (OSRW extra pits version).
TRACK DOWNLOAD - this is an additional track layout for Vallelunga that adds extra pit boxes (up to 31) without altering the official KS track. There will be 3 sprints of about 20 minutes each (12 laps), so people can try a few different cars. Update: This round will be 2x tyre wear (fuel 1x), as most of season 10 will be to simulate wear over 1 hour of real-life racing. After this round, you'll have up to the end of Saturday (23rd) to choose a car for the season. Anyone who doesn't nominate a car will have one chosen by me, to spread the mix of cars. 891

We'll be using OSRW modded track layouts (from the AC forums) to allow up to 32 drivers in each race. They don't change the original tracks, they just add an extra layout that has more pit boxes. But RSR times, PBs etc will be recorded against these new layouts.
I've bundled them all up in THIS DOWNLOAD. Unzip it into your Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsafolder. This also means that there will be no reserves - everyone can race! 892

We noticed that in darker weather conditions, the headlights were always on by default. I found that in the weather.ini files, like \assettocorsa\content\weather\6_mid_clouds\weather.ini, there's a new line:
[CAR_LIGHTS] FORCE_ON=1 You can change that to 0 if you don't want your headlights to come on automatically. 897
