Title: S5000
Post by: Bacchulum on September 20, 2019, 06:41:34 PM
Anyone else keen to see this get started this weekend?
I'm stoked Rubinho came over, and he seems to be getting to grips with it:
Quote
“In the first session the car was definitely taking me around, and in the second session I was taking more control. And the smile comes to my face. It’s a great feeling to be able to conquer the world.”

A big props to GRM for preparing these cars.
Only one retirement, and 8 cars only had their first run on Wednesday. ;)

Went to the Shannons Nationals at The Bend today. Here's the start of the S5000 race. Also had TCRs, Porsche GT3 Cup, Prototypes + more.

They sound approximately 1000x better live. Even the TV nowhere near does the sound justice. Even the TCR cars sound heaps better live than on TV.

Even though it's not S5000, I thought I'd share this, one, for the awesome cars and two, to make us old blokes feel a bit better. ;)

Unless you're like me and can't take the forces without getting sick ;)  Although, that famous simracer alien guy whatsisname puked his helmet full in the middle of a formula session as well.   So there's that.

Ken has the advantage of being in a race car for 58 consecutive years.
Surely you'd get used to it by then. 8)
