There's something wrong with the practice server time sheet, when you click on on Kcenders name it says "human driver"

I think I'll switch to the Mazda if that's ok, I have enough trouble staying on track as it is and I think the c9 will burn out the rear tyres too quick

Awesome machine, I'll take one of those

I'm grateful for the auto entry even though I could only do every second round. I've just started at a new mine same 7/7 roster but start a day earlier, this means I'll only get 1 Tuesday a month now. Disappointing but I'd still like auto entry, I'll just be more of a reserve if grids are getting full. On the bright side I should be able to do 3 Thursdays a month. Thanks

this was fun, trying out the lenovo vr online in ac for the first time. I need to tune the graphics settings a bit more because I could see I was getting dropped frames. I'm really liking the vr for fun races but the overall picture quality is not there for regular use imo. Immersion is quite intense though, it feels a lot easier to hit apexes and exits (may be similar with triples?) but I don't think it'll make me faster
I have been playing around with my Lenovo and have found by dropping the native resolution in AC setup to 1440x 1080 the FPS in WMR seems to improve, I too have not made up my mind. I thought a 1080 ti would give an ideal FPS.

What frame rate are you getting with the 1080ti? Should be plenty?
Haven't even checked the actual frame rate yet, in pc2 and ac it was smooth as silk (@ 2880*1440 and everything set to max or near max) playing single player grids of 19 and no weather. Online ac was different though and needs more tuning, although it could have been the mod cars and tracks. When I get chance I'll start checking the frame rates. You gotta try the Honda concept car around a street circuit in pc2, blow out lol. From what I'm seeing (online/youtube) that res needs to be set to 1920*1080, possible upscaling and fine tuning the rest of the settings depending on the game

Thanks, It was a real pain in the ass with the wiring and I rushed it a bit with the paint, works good though. I ordered the wrong toggle switches too, on-off-on but not momentary so went and got some mini ones from jaycar, bloody expensive there. I'm still waiting for an "engine start" switch for the top left position. I think a simple version without the rotary encoders would do and be much easier

You can order fanatec stuff here directly from the website, shipping costs and time are reasonable, I'm guessing they have a warehouse here? I have no experience with direct drive however the dd1 looks to be a good balance for cost to performance compared to the osw's and what not. If direct drive is too expensive consider the fanatec v2.5 or a thrustmaster (tx-pc I think is one of their higher end models?)

Q. Didn't even get a lap done (I tried), back of the grid.
R1. Better just stay out of trouble and keep it on track, which worked good enough to get up into 7th as everyone parted way for me. A minor slide late in the race handed Mael my position.
R2. Started 5th, trying to avoid the turn one mishap I went wide and got a tap on the rear which sent me into a tank slap, I then punted a car and we both spun. Near back of the pack again, I thought I'd use the same philosophy from the first race. Kept clean, lap times gradually improved with each lap until I made a small mistake and let Bacchulum through. Managed to get by Able when he took too much curb and slid off. Finished 5th.
The wet track was frustrating at first but had fun with the race, I tried it briefly yesterday in vr but shut that down straight away, I wasn't ready for that yet.
Good fun as usual thanks guys.

I didn't want to mess around with ac too much yet so I don't have to change everything back for tomorrow night, pc2 I can program a wheel button. Sometimes loading up a game pc2 or acc and the menu is like it's a couple of metres below me and I can't find a way to centre it in acc

Arrived today, found a new use for project cars 2, the game is actually not bad with the vr headset. I've only had minimal use with the headset so far but it seems pretty good. Need more time to fine tune all the settings and work out an easy way to reset centre. PC2 and ACC feel good with it. Screen door is annoying but the immersion factor out weighs it. So far very good for casual/fun racing for me, I'll definitely use it on Thursday
