some good racing last night - presume it was due to car and locked setups.
are we doing locked setups on the m1? or open season

There's a lot less you can fiddle with setup-wise, so these are open setups.

My setup.

Hit the front...

After ^this round I should be able to come back to every second Tuesday, bad news I won't be able to do Thursday anymore... site relocation and roster change... again

Nice . . . your setup helped, calmed the car down a fair bit.
-
My stint at the top was short lived... 29's are appearing now.

Mael, just letting you know you're a bit slow ;)

[yes, I know, I'll get punished for my bragging...haha]
However, I put on my Momo Mod78 for the beamer...seems like it's made me faster :)

I've added the Lotus Exige 240R Stage 3 to the server as well, as another option. We won't be racing the BMW and the Lotus together; rather we can try them in separate sprints. The Lotus is faster and easier (and less fun, in my opinion), than the BMW.

I fixed the problem with the BMW . . . . I drove the Lotus!!! :)
Personally I am finding the BMW a handful with it constantly wanting to swap ends under both power and lift off....!

I'm finding that I have to apply a little bit of countersteer on most corner exits. The thing I like about the BMW is that people can make mistakes in it, so there always the potential to gain a spot on the person you're chasing. The Lotus would be much harder to chase down and pass.

You know how many laps it took just to match Bueller's time!
Hey Wally, found a great track yesterday on a public server, Highlands Drift (Kunos version) would be great fun in the BMW

Yeah, just got a bit excited...it's a very rare thing I'm finding myself on p1 on the server...Freezer spoiled it in the meantime of course.
It's a challenge keeping the rear end under control, but, still, it's a lot easier than the 98T I find...it should get us some close racing...and a lot safer starts too.

I'm getting the 99% CPU error for this track like we had at Sochie so I hope this isn't going to be an issue tonight. It feels like I'm driving in slow motion from the turn in to the apex of turn 1 but the rest of the lap is fine....
As for the cars, they both have their own unique traits but I'm finding the M1 much harder (and rewarding) to drive. I drove the M1 before the Lotus and I found power down and turn in rather tricky, not a bad thing, but it certainly a car which needs a lot more laps to get my head around. I'm still struggling with how hard it is to turn into a corner with this car. Moving into the Lotus, it was like all of a sudden every fault with the BMW was repaired because the Lotus had plenty of go, stopped and turn in wonderfully. On my 2nd lap I was 2 seconds faster than my BMW PB....
It certainly going to be interesting racing tonight as I'm predicting that the Lotus will produce close racing but the results will contain not many surprises where as I'm expecting the BMW will be anyone's race to win.

That's a bit odd as we have used this track before for league races without any dramas.

My feelings exactly.

Usually have very low frame rates for me :( But such good fun track so usually live with it.

Thought it was Monday last night, right up to when I went to bed.
(public holiday threw me)

Ah, woops.

Sorry I didn't make it last night, I was really looking forward to trying about these two cars as I've not raced either and both were so different in their characteristics. I think I've had too much screen time lately and looking at a screen was giving me headaches all day yesterday and making me sick, so took a rare early night instead....
