Server's up.

Don't forget you can adjust exposure in-game with Page Up/Dn keys if you find the morning/evening too glarey or dark.

I'm surprised I finished where I did considering.. my elbow was so stiff i had to try and stretch it, but misjudged the speed and how close I was to the wall and BOOM

Was nice being 5th though from 9th.

well done grat

Around the midway point I missed a braking point and decided to run wide at the chicane on purpose rather than risk a spin. As i went the wrong side of the tire barrier everything except the apps turned black, had to exit and re-join losing quite a bit of time.

Not that it mattered, the top three was to quick and consistent. Great driving Grat!

PS. Do you know how hard I drove to catch up to you Wally? I hoped to have at least one decent battle. And got nothing for my effort  :P

I know! I was looking forward to some action there too, but I spun too many times on the slow corners.

That was a good race, started on softs which let me race with grat & phil for a bit. Had a big lock up into turn 1 early on which gave me a good flat spot and a bit of wheel shake. Nursed it kinda but the tyres finally went and I needed fuel so pitted @ lap 26. I had intermediate tyres which I was hoping would last the final 40 or so laps which they did only just. Was pretty lonely for a while after that except when Wally and Robin let me by. By about lap 40 or so shayne started gaining and was hoping for a bit of close racing when he finally caught up. Ran wide on lap 53 which took the excitement out of that. At around 20min remaining I was almost going to suggest a simulated safety car just to bunch everyone up again (would not have benefited me, probably opposite). In the last few minutes my worn out intermediate tyres started to feel a little better, briefly, I got a little over excited and spun at the bus stop feeding my front bumper to the chickens. Cracked windscreen and no front aero I managed to limp home in third.
Thanks everyone for another great race night. ☺️

I had a spin on lap 1 after Jamie and I were side by side on the oval, and then sorted ourselves out in the bus stop with him in front, but it must have put me a little off line because I spun to the left onto the slippery grass and list a few spots. Layer I had too many spins in the very slowest corners with the back just wanting to come around too much when I came off the throttle.

After my dropout half way through when I rejoined it was hard to tell what position I was in. Both my apps ptracker and real-time had me last so I just let whoever was behind me past, like Rob and Russ, but in hindsight I may not have had to. Shame about the dropout. The changing light conditions were fun. At one stage late in the race when the lighting had changed on the tyre bundle after the bus stop, I nearly had a brain fade and didn't recognise my braking point for the bus stop, thinking I was on a different part of the track.

Finally got my pc back together but did not have the chance to work out any pit strategy stuff.

I got rear aero damage on the first lap and at about the 30 minute mark drifted wide into the wall at the sharp left hander and the end of the in-field section and ended up with front aero, engine and suspension damage. And a badly cracked windscreen.

I have no idea how to change pit strategy on the fly so at the halfway mark I just pitted and filled the tank and put on a new set of softs, and went back out with a cracked windscreen, front and rear aero damage, a damaged engine, damaged suspension and about enough fuel to circumnavigate the planet . Needless to say it was a long night for me, but I am pleased that I and my pc was there at the finished.

My next task is to figure out how this pit stop stuff works. lol.

You can use the dpad on your wheel or arrow keys while on track to bring up the pit app, and also to change values.

Thanks for that Wally. I only have a G25 so no Dpad. I'll just find the keyboard shortcut and I should be good to go.

The keyboard shortcut is the arrow keys. ;)

I have 3 words for my race.
DISASTER!
DISASTER!!
DISASTER!!!

Disaster 1
Brushed the wall on the straight and the engine blew. I couldn't believe this one. I would have expected a little bit of side damage.
Escaped to pits - 289 sec controls locked

Disaster 2
Due to disaster 1 needed to change pit plan. Pit app appeared far right of right screen. I had previously placed it on middle screen where I could see it properly.
Trying to set new plan I took eyes off road too long missed brake point hit wall. Engine blew.
Escaped to pits - 258 secs controls locked.

Disaster 3
7 minutes left in race.
The bumpy track shook the rig so much that one of my "table tops" (the one holding up my button box) tilted itself down. Button box fell on keyboard. Hit wall. Engine blew.

Gave up.

In between I had some good times. I actually like the longer races but this one just wasn't to be.
Some days you're the pigeon,
Some days you're the statue ...

Sorry Russ, I just had to laugh. The button box falling was the final straw.

With the pit app position, it's in a folder location (stupidly) where it gets overwritten when there's a game update or you verify your files in Steam, so you can lose your settings at that time.
