Flattops Thursday - Series 13 -
« on: February 08, 2018, 04:23:26 PM »
As a gesture of thanks , I would like to give Phil first choice for the next season, if thats ok with everyone else. He has done a great job ever since Bruce handed over the reigns and I think Bruce could not have picked a better man for the job :).

Yes and around Modena it was impressive. :o
But you do need a very tight track, as they would be more suited to a kart track
(the tracks they're designed for are usually cones in a car park type of thing)

The Metalex MTX gave some good racing last time we tried it. It has been updated and there are some variants that could make up a mixed field. It is a true replica of the 70s and 80s models that were raced in Eastern Europe so fit the “historic” label.

I could have been away Gratulin but I only recall doing a couple of fun runs in the Skippy.

True. I think it is Phil's favourite car. Would make a good season on Aussie tracks? I'm not sure where the mod came from? GzeroD?

Been thinking about these choices for a season
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/1970s-performance-mustangs.19574/  Bruce would approve I think
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/raf-80.19563/
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/melkus-mt77.18908/
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/caterham-seven-165-2013.17002/
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/formula-student-ucm-2016.19272/

Last one looks like could be fun fun fun :)
I tried a couple of offline races in the Formula Student ,at Oran Park and Ahvenisto ,and despite my initial misgivings they are fun fun fun, and not as easy to get the most out of as you might initially think, the driver with the best race craft will win in these :) :) :) 8).
