Ordered from this site https://www.skycomp.com.au/ one of the few sites to have stock. Ticked the boxes for me, WMR/Steam VR (which I am completely happy with) Flip up Visor and high res screens . I think first week in January from HP. I'm pretty sure they don't have a flip up ability though. Wider FOV but only slightly. Downside is, it is sweaty and a bit uncomfortable compared to my Lenovo, but these are issues that will be easily fixed as I did with my Lenovo.Summary is, worth every cent, the future is here for VR fans « Last Edit: December 18, 2019, 02:38:32 PM by rooshooter » Logged social media is the tobacco of this century rooshooter RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 2883 Karma: 52 Re: VR recommendations in 2019 « Reply #20 on: December 19, 2019, 11:01:03 AM » Having spent a bit more time with the Reverb , I have adjusted for loose fitting(not as sweaty now) and easy to remove, added some padding(more comfortable). My Inter Pupil Distance is 61mm and I have found this headset to have a VERY large focus sweetspot and constant adjustment of the fitting is not required. The connecting cable is heavy and really needs some form of support to take some weight off the headset(I have found a solution so not a problem). Has attached earphones and inbuilt mic (no more headphones for Discord .ANY downsides to this device are FAR outweighed by the near perfect visuals (I am running an effective resolution of 8K x 4K, 200% supersample, 2080ti ). I will test at lower res to see what effect it has, if any. These thoughts are for sit down VR games only, I do not use the Bluetooth controllers at all. « Last Edit: December 19, 2019, 11:05:19 AM by rooshooter » Logged social media is the tobacco of this century Phil.8 RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 4158 Karma: 62 Δ8 Re: VR recommendations in 2019 « Reply #21 on: December 19, 2019, 04:56:15 PM » Sounds good, I have been thinking of getting VR of late and these seem good Logged The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older rooshooter RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 2883 Karma: 52 Re: VR recommendations in 2019 « Reply #22 on: December 20, 2019, 08:13:33 AM » Quote from: Phil.8 on December 19, 2019, 04:56:15 PMSounds good, I have been thinking of getting VR of late and these seem goodI agree almost 100% with this review ,except that AC clarity for me, is better. The worst support system on the planet, they do not have a simple email address you can use to contact them what a joke. A google search did not show that V2 of this headset is having problems so I may have just been unlucky. I still consider this VR headset as the best simracing piece of equipment that I have purchased. I will use the Lenovo until the new arrives. Josh from HP visited my home with a new headset but it was not the problem. The cable connecting the headset to the PC was the problem and a replacement has been ordered .
