Assetto Corsa / Re: [TUTORIAL] Running your own Assetto Corsa Server« on: July 23, 2014, 05:30:23 PM »Make sure sleep time=1 is in your server config, I just ran into the same problem and the server would try to use 100% cpu and ping was 500+ms. That was the problem seems to be sorted if anyone wants to test out the server its "Aus Public Server" GT3 at magione atm. I changed it to a t1 micro too not sure if that makes a difference or if it means is no longer free. I guess I will find out later about that. Seems to be working as it has been with the free XGN servers and had a few on, filled up with 12 max then I maxed it to 18 for the track and was going fine but started warping a little. I reset it turning off flow control and seems fine still but maybe need to lower client numbers as I wonder if it will properly handle 18 drivers. 3527

Assetto Corsa / Re: Tue July 22 Trial Race: Formula Abarth at Blackwood« on: July 23, 2014, 10:41:20 AM »1st replay I looked at I found it. It was start of race 1. I think that video needs some Attenborough voice over saying "Here is a very rare sighthing of formula abarths mating in the wild. See how Dick comes in from behind taking the unsuspecting abarth who then regects his advances. " 3529

Assetto Corsa / Re: Why lap times got slower« on: July 21, 2014, 09:02:14 AM »
That explains it on the server the other day, when pace dropped off for no real reason.
Karma is your niceness/evilness rating. you can applaud/smite ppl for posts, and that's how it builds. Mine is -666 the prefect evil score, and you shall not touch it! Oops. Never tell anyone not to touch something it makes it rather tempting 3533

Im assuming the way Dave said to set this up is the same way that Wally and Bird are doing their free servers but pings are much better on them.
Not sure what is different also using Amazon t2.micro free server but this is also the first time I have tried so maybe I just screwed up somewhere even though I think I followed the guide set out in this thread. Nords is just a test as Id just like to have access to a server for days when wally isnt around. 3535

Assetto Corsa / Re: AC News« on: July 19, 2014, 07:29:47 PM »There is a password bug Wally. so that explains that. You must be a novelist as you sure can make up a good story, which you never let the truth get too far in the way of. 3537
Assetto Corsa / Re: Tue July 22 Trial Race: Formula Abarth at Blackwood« on: July 19, 2014, 03:21:05 PM »Smooth as butter with 2 cars on track, anyway. And the drafting definitely works. Don't forget to upgrade to 0.97 of the track. Ok thats probably why I got the server missmatch boot, Am running file integrity check and will dl the latest version and jump on if anyone is still around. Hard to test the daft on my own 3538

Assetto Corsa / Re: Tue July 22 Trial Race: Formula Abarth at Blackwood« on: July 19, 2014, 02:41:03 PM »Marty, I think they are working on the road surfaces on each release. I posted a new version if you wanna give it a go maybe the AI recording will work a bit better. I will take another look at it, the pitlane speed lim8t means he has done some work on the surface settings. The actual AI fastline included was made by a real alien and has a good line. Just the surfaces being poorly mapped and also the file wasnt properly saved meant it couldnt work properly. |
