As a slight concession to the difficulty of the track, I'll just leave the track grip at 100% the whole time.
People will have to be aware that drivers ahead may be backing off the pace to survive the race, so be prepared for cars being slow into corners. It will be all too easy to punt someone into a fence and potentially wreck their race.

I've only done a 8:33 myself, but I've opted for reasonably high downforce, to keep the car on the track for safety's sake. You can easily do the distance on 1 tank, but I haven't seen how the tyres fare over the distance yet.

Hi Wally: unfortunately I have to confirm that I have to dismantle the rig tomorrow for my move. Sorry. Not sure when it will be back up yet.
Hopefully for the next race.
After 2 hours of work, here is what remains of my glorious rig :(

Yeah, next race (without practice) is the target, Wally.

What GP section?  >:(
Why on earth are we using the post 1981 version for a 1975 season?  >:(
We're not using the GP section.

I don't understand, the first part of the lap for me is modern nurburgring

It would always be a compromise, as there's no (decent) version with the south loop. :-\
It's probably better this way, as it should provide more overtaking opportunities than just Dottinger Hohe. ;)

But the short version rather than the longer GP section.

Softs don't help me in the Surtees, but I'd be very surprised if you could do the whole race on one set of softs.

I can't tell you that.
The only chance I have of beating you is for you to make a strategic error. :-X
