I haven't had to upgrade the RSR app for some time now.

Thanks. Just re-installed it.  My name is coming up with a "world" icon, instead of the great Aussie flag.  I've checked my Steam profile, and it has the Aussie flag and it is all set to public.  Any ideas how to fix this?

I've also put my setup for this track+car in my dropbox.  Good for a 1.06.6xx so far.

I think there has onoy been about 1 RSR update in the last 3 months or so, well worth giving it a go. One issue I found is you need to have penalties on in SP sometimes even if the server has penalties enabled.

1:06.6 is pretty darn quick will run some laps tomorrow should be abke to get into the 1:06's too. To show the aussie flag I think you just need to set it up properly as it seems you have now then run a lap and it shouod auto update your info on the rsr page. The name and country settings in Assetto Corsa not inside steam and you can even have your account as private it will still come up with the aussie flag.

BTW I hit over 300km/h a couple of times on this track. Was in mid-air at the time however!? Seems that if you flip over you end up in a hole of some sort and have to hit escape to stop. Anyone else have this happen?

What is the advantage of having different levels of turbo boost on the 1M? Why would you want less than 100%
I had a bit of a mess around for about 3 corners. It just seemed to make me slower at lower boost.

On a side note I think Newbury is a boring track. There I said it. I feel better now.  ;)

I think in the longer run when damage is implemented, there might be consequences of running at full boost.

Yes if you want to see the point of them turn on mechanical damage and see how long you last with 100%. It wouod be pretty interesting if there was a way to force all to have it on as it could be used for strategy during a race kind of a push to pass button. As this cant be forced server side atm it would be too big an advantage for anyone with damage off.

Yeah, kinda looking forward to damage, at the same time not. I remember having mechanical damaged switched on for a while and blew up many, many engines.
There was no 1/2 blown or drop a few cylinders. Its all or nothing. I guess it can;t be modeled any other way?

Would be funny, maybe, If we had 24 starters and 0 finishers.

I saw a post by Aris a while back talking about planned damage modeling. If they get half of what he hopes it will be pretty awesome. Atm its pretty basic and I have been running it on until this event as not having boost at 100% is too bug a disadvantage and damave on I was blowing the engine withing a few laps no matter how I drove.

I will turn it back on once we are done with this car, in the grp A i was running damage and engine limit at 103% with no issues over any distance. But this car high boost and early shifts blew just as quick as pushing the engine close to the rev limit each shift.

So who'll be on tonight?
I'm actually looking forward to the racing as this car seems so loose when you plan the throttle...
There is going to be a whole bunch of sliding sideways for the newbies of the bunch (me included)  ;D

Only if you dont get the lead into t1, should be close for the rest of us.  :)

Some videos (using Open Broadcaster Software) from tonight (I have to get some quality tips from Guybrush).

Here's race 2, where I got an accidental punt in the second corner and then had to work through the field.

Race 3 - an early chase of Guybrush, then a good chase by Marty over many laps to pick me off, until we had a little Wally/Marty/Phil/Guybrush train going for a while at the end.
