Racing general / AC sound to 512 max channels
« on: July 23, 2020, 08:58:54 AM »

This makes a big difference :) :)

The file audio_engine.ini is located in: ...\steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg

Change the value of max channels to 512 from 256. It should then look like this:

[SETTINGS]
ENABLE_AUDIO=1
MAX_CHANNELS=512
UPDATE_INTERVAL=0
ENABLE_PERFORMANCE_SPEW=0
LIVE_UPDATE=0

 I was amazed at the Goodwood track setting, the luddites who are not running CM/CSP/Sol are really missing out with this Combo. My first racing at night/twilight with headlights on and a dark stormy sky, in car dashboard lights on, just beautiful  :) :) 8) 8)

I kept the server within the specs that a vanilla client can run but with CSP you do get the car lit up properly.

In the future 24 minute races at 60x time are looking good. That is a full 24 hours in 24 minutes with day night driving and weather including rain with wet physics all done in realtime by CSP.

So it was my fault, sorry about that. Missed that whilst trying to merge my config created with CM with the existing config. CM didn't bugger it so much as I didn't tell CM about the plugin.

Are there normally 2 strackers running? It's complaining that both strackers are using the same ports, from what I can gather.
stracker 2 is running, and it says "Plugin listens to port 12001 and sends to port 11001."
It looks to me like server_cfg.ini has been buggered up by Content Manager( ??? )
I think I fixed it. server_cfg.ini lost its lines:
UDP_PLUGIN_LOCAL_PORT=11000
UDP_PLUGIN_ADDRESS=127.0.0.1:12000
Huge Thanks Wally  :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

cant even get to it on the web
http://52.63.217.129:50041/mainpage

it gives a run time error and says check config files when I start it
Anyone have the skills to debug this error?

PTracker no longer appears to be working :(.

9/10ths of the links are mine. Which ain't a problem in itself, whilst not necessary a name check would be nice and it would allow quality control and updates etc.
Fair enough.

Nothing new here as such just for an offline AI fun race.

Link to 1966 Can Am Complete Mod Collection & Championship:
https://docs.google.com/document/u/3/..

This Mod Collection includes 6 tracks and 5 cars: Mont-Tremblant, Bridgehampton, Mosport, Laguna Seca, Riverside, & Stardust race tracks; and the Lola T70 MkII Spyder (Chevy/Ford), the Chaparral 2E, the McLaren Elva Mark II (Chevrolet/Ford/Oldsmobile), the Porsche 906, and the Ford GT40. I created the custom 1966 Can Am championship along with AI and assembled the collection of tracks and cars.

Automation engine designer

Post by frank_will » Tue Jun 30, 2020 3:34 am
I was not sure if to post this under Assetto Corsa or here as it is still a general discussion.

If any of you are familiar with Automation https://store.steampowered.com/app/2937 ... coon_Game/
The game has a built-in engine designer that is pretty handy to try to create a realistic power/torque curve to then easily convert it in a power.lut for Assetto Corsa (may work for other games as well), you choose bore, stroke, crank and piston types, engine block type etc...

Bought the game yesterday and tried to replicate the Cosworth DFV and came pretty close to the exact HP and curve seemed pretty accurate after using all the tech infos I could find here: http://74.124.198.224/~historic/dfv/specs.html
