I'm not criticizing at all, just thought I would add something that might help out.

Maybe criticizing was the wrong word but feel a bit sorry for Nith here. Your point is very valid though as Assetto Corsa expects the G27 to be set up with 900 degrees of rotation which is then adjusted in game on a car by car basis, so you really need to have it at 900 to get the most out of the game.

Let's leave poor nith alone. People are looking at the replay to ctiticise him, but we all know how mary likes to moan. Like grat said it's prob just the way the replay is played back.

I had some close racing with him at VIR and although he was quite aggresive for someone in their first league race, he was fine. Again first league race is a good point to make here. I had bird complaining at me in my first race  ;D

Can someone upload the replay from last night?  I'd be interested to have a look.

Aren't we all ;D

Qualified 5th then on the first lap on the second part of that odd double apex near the start of the lap I gave it slightly too much throttle and spun onto the grass. It wasn't safe to rejoin so I waited for a gap and got back onto the track in 17th.

I got past several people then was behind Gratulin for a while. It took me a few laps to figure out where I could get past; I tried on the left hairpin a couple of times but eventually got past on the inside at the end of the straight after that hairpin. After that I caught up with Bacculum but there was no way I was getting past him.

Race 2 start behind Bacculum again and knew it wasn't gonna be easy to pass. The two of us got past Keith then it felt like the latter part of R1 again. I knew I could probably get an undercut and was about to go into the pits myself when he did and I managed to get a clean lap with no traffic, take my stop and get out in front.

After that I joined the Nith, Wally and Hylas train for the rest of the race. Some very close racing, (too close at one point, my bad), but everyone held it together and even though I was getting better exits on a lot of corners this track is so hard to pass. Just fingers crossed one of you had a cut track penalty as I didn't. Think that was 11th place finish.

I intend on being there but the baby hasn't long woken up, so depends when he falls asleep again. Probably safe to say I intend to be at every race, but if I'm not, the baby is why! :)

I did notice that graphics wise it looked different, but I didn't notice any pop up at all. The fence going of the left on the downhill section was doing a weird texture thing, but I see this on Kunos tracks too.

Had a quick run here tonight and you guys are right, the escort is great here. I held the server pb for about 5 mins until phil beat it  ;D

I really enjoyed it at brands. Have heard escorts are more fun if you harden up though  ::)

Pretty sure the escort would be a lot of fun anywhere  ;D

The monitors i have were cheap gumtree ones to get me by until i can afford some better ones. I may get some 75hz ones then i wouldnt need to worry.

Maybe have have a high refresh monitor in which case it can handle more frames

It's basically where you are missing frames as your monitor can't keep up, a bit like this:
https://camo.githubusercontent.com/eca45d7d1e44a2f78541c27fe49f5e28fe66be0e/68747470733a2f2f662e636c6f75642e6769746875622e636f6d2f6173736574732f333738393232362f3439323436372f34323630643034612d626162322d313165322d383731662d3338316536343163336538332e706e67

It could be that fully maxed out your not getting over 60fps so you won't notice it, as even with frame limiting I had it. When I first went to 3 monitors fully maxed I was getting framerate drops into the 40s so I turned a few settings down.

It syncs the number of frames output by the GPU to what your monitor can handle. Most only have 60hz monitors, so they can't handle any more than 60fps before you start to see screen tearing. V-sync stops the tearing, but does introduce some input lag.

Pretty good article here on it:

I  have vsync on but only because it's the only way I can get a tear-free experience. Everything else I've tried always ends up in some tearing.

Yeah I tried different frame limits and some were better than others, but v-sync just looks nicer and didn't feel any lag myself. Will keep it on for a while, at least until I can afford some monitors with a higher refresh rate.

Anyone running with V-sync on?

Since moving to triples I had to turn the settings down a tad to maintain a near constant 60fps but I'm getting a lot more tearing than I used to. I just had a quick go with V-sync on and it was super smooth, and not really any noticeable input lag. Even did a PB.

Unsure whether to turn some settings up again to avoid going over 60fps or leave V-sync on. The input lag you'd get would be different for every game, but didn't seem any different to me with AC.
