The season is shaping up... 18 signed up!

I'll be a good week or so before I'm on the grid i think Mr Flattop. Taking my time getting my shit together, very busy. I think i called my comeback about 2 weeks too soon.
Early, smearly! No problems, it will be good to have you back. While I'm away you can just call me "Flattop" but you need to use "Mr. Gratulin" for this season.  ;D

What time is all this kicking off? I don't know the track, but if there is time for me to learn it between getting my kids to bed and it starting I could be keen.

It's Donington National like the fun run last week. Idea is not to learn too much for Thursday night  ;D

I think we've just been hand writing it on a notepad with a crayon and taking a photo.

Met gawaterman the other night on the server. I'm keen to shake off some of the cobwebs, (literally from my shelved G27 and figuratively from my lack of recent racing.) Forgive the noob questions but is there a weekly track that I can practice for and some way to keep tabs on what will be a competitive time?

Hey there.
Best bet is to download the RSR Timing app which will show you where you stand vs. the word record for any car and track combo.  You can also visit the site to see what the times are like.  Most people are a couple of seconds off the world record I would guess.

Ok.  Guybrush is very near to the w/r, let's be honest.

I think I'm a fast(-ish) racer, I'm usually about 1 to 1.5s/min off (meaning on a 1-minute lap I'm 1s to 1.5s off, on a 2 minute lap 2-3s off, and so on; you do the math)

An average racer should probably be no more than 2-3 s/min off the pace.
A slower racer is further behind.

We do have a lot of different racers here, so we cover nearly all from fastest to slowest.
Also: race the conditions are seldom good enough to run the best laps a hotlapping session provides...so laptimes are usually somewhat slower.

Thanks for the replies. So I see there is an XGN server for the (more serious?) Tuesday night racing, where does one practice the Thursday track other than offline?

Thursday's are a little more casual so no practise needed!! There is usually a server running but not always for the Thursday race configuration.

Ok, well I got that RSRLive app and I am exactly 2:00 seconds off the record lap after a dozen laps and stock setup with no idea what to tweak. I guess thats a start. Doing them consistently, thats something else!
