Good nights racing.  I had cash for the Merc and it was quick but I found it understeery, and couldn't resolve that so went with the BMW which I felt far more comfortable in.
I was able to put the BMW start advantage to good use in each race getting a 1-2 sec gap each time into the lead however races 1 and 2 saw AbleArcher catch and pass.  I was focusing
on keeping it consistent (and on track) so didn't quite have the top speed to hold him off.
Race 3 however I decided to push harder and it payed off.  We had a few side by side battles and both of us had a few slips and slides but in the end I was able to hang on this time
to bring home the win.  With only 4 points between us in the final championship score, it probably proved the difference!!
Also a first team win (if memory serves me) for Team Maki Engineering with Mael and myself..... ;D ;D ;D

A few post-season stats:

Best average finish:  Kcender, 4.7
Most wins: Kcender & Phil, 6
Most podiums: Kcender, 10
Most poles: Kcender & Phil, 2
Most fastest laps: Kcender & Phil, 6
Most consistent: Freezer, Kcender & Killagorilla
Hunter: AGK
Hunted: Freezer
Busiest: Joe
Loneliest: DaveO & Kcender

I was really pleased with how the season turned out. There was lots of close racing, a mix of cars, and some new winners. Hopefully the car dealer provided some opportunity for strategising your purchases. Winners this season: AbleArcher, Freezer, Kcender, Killagorilla, Phil

Close racing - see the clumps of cars, locked in battle:

The two races I could join this season were good, although wasn't feeling it last night for some reason and after missing the start I decided to call it quits. With only one Tuesday a month and having to get up early the next morning I might just pull out of the Tuesdays. Thanks Wally and everyone...

Thanks for the season Wally and all! Thought these cars were great - very specific to how they are driven or set up and allowed for lots of door banging - whats next? :) V8s......?

I was really pleased with how the season turned out. There was lots of close racing.......
The differences of perspective.
My season was mainly frustration borne of anger, followed by boring hotlapping.
Not impressed with this season.

Thanks for the season Wally

Great driving by my team mate Freezer, on the podium for the championship, 4 wins, 9 podiums and 4  consistency awards! Carried Team Maki to our first championship!!!!

For myself I just could not be consistent, whether that be driver error or technical difficulties. Had the speed, even out-qualified Kcender once in the same car  :P but could not bring the bacon home. Had some very good close battles over the season and fun to figure out the some very different handling cars.

PS. Note Joe had 18 races, no podiums or wins, crashing into his team mate on occasions as well  :P

Has anyone tried a decent supercars mod?

Edit: I might put up a fun run in these

Fun night for me. Some good racing and kept all 3 races clean for once. Had some good battling with AGK in his BMW.

This season for me mostly followed the same pattern; fast lap time but an incident or two giving me a poor round but no cash to get a better car. Not really a complaint as I still enjoyed every round. Thanks for the season though Wally and I do appreciate how you try your best to mix things up and make each season different and the effort that takes.

Well done kcender. Similar pace in the Nissan's this season but you have more consistency but I was happy to do similar lap times to you as you're usually way quicker.

Pretty sure this is the one i have and it felt right out of the box - you know, compared against my long experience of not having driven a V8 supercar :P - felt better than iRacing's ones i reckon...*flamesuit*

Thanks for the season Wally. Yes, there was a lot of close racing...and that's great.
The cars were fun to drive. I liked driving the Primera and Hyundai as well even though I wasn't really fast in them.
Race 2 was a bit of a bummer...no idea what I was smelling there.
Cheers
...GT3's would be my favourite for the next one  :)
