Just watched the qually. For anyone needing a stream download Ace Stream player which is a modified VLC:

Then go here:

Grab one of the IDs and in Ace select open by ID and paste in the ID.

Last season all but one race worked in 1080p and when that happened someone posted an alternative ID in the chat box on the left.

I'm sure it'll be fun.  But yeah, track days take a toll on the car.  Lots of heat to get rid of, lots of brake pads & tyres to replace :D

My track toy is a Toyota 86.  It needed a bit of attention before tracking, too, even though it was only a year old at the start.

You go to eastern creek Bird? My mate Matt is there quite a lot. Have attached a pic of his track car it's quite noticeable. I think he bought it from someone he met at the track as before he was just in his road WRX.

I don't think I've disliked a car as much as this one. I did no practice because I hate driving it, but then that means I can't drive it at all for the race. Usually a car I don't really like I can still have fun with in a race but not this one.

I didn't enjoy last night much. Not sure why. Maybe no practice, maybe too tired due to annoying kids. Car just didn't feel right to me on the track and half way through race 2 I was thinking to myself I'd rather be doing something else which has never happened when racing before. I spun on my own with a few laps to go, so I did just go and do something else :)

Sorry for the no show. Selling my house in the UK and had a tonne of paperwork to get sorted  :o

Bad news for us since no Australia because of Foxtel.

REALLY bad news for Simone because you would need internet access even if it were available in Australia :(
Would I be able to circumvent the Aus. lock out with a VPN?
It's just that I'll be losing Foxtel after the AusGP.

Most likely as long as the VPN has enough bandwidth to stream it.

Melbourne race always falls on daughters birthday weekend so no go for me.

just to let you guys know: there is an infinite hole along the pit wall, exiting the last bend. (I guess it's ok as this season Wally said to look for less used tracks, and less used necessarily means a bit less polished.)

Yep only did a handful of laps last night to remind myself of the track and managed to fall into that hole  :o

I don't get why some people are being so negative about the game. Seems to me it's an opportunity for them create a new engine which they can then use to deliver AC2 and in the meantime we'll get to see what it's like in ACC. I'll buy it, and I doubt very much it will take long at all for mods to appear.

Good fun. Didn't manage any practice before my 3 mins of qually so race 1 wasn't too great but some good close side by side action in race 2.

Last year I found a site with an acestream link that worked perfectly every race

First race started great and was having a good run at the back of a pack then strange issues with cars floating off and ping spike. Pulled over and it resolved itself so carried on going from 5th to 15th, then a few laps later it did it again and I'm in the wall. Rebooted everything.

Second race started in last due to race 1 woes but made up several places. Going quite well and all my monitors turn off and back on again. At that point i'm in the wall the car is a wreck. Seemed like a totally different issue to race one. Just one of those night I guess...

Checked event logs and whether window update was doing anything and nothing so no idea.

Weird went to try a few laps tonight and my PC said Assetto wasn't installed.. I had to go through the installation procedure and it checked all my files then did a very quick download and the game is working again. It overwrote some system files I modified though so hopefully I remembered what I changed  :o

So the "Unreal engine", does that drive the current AC?  I'm assuming not, hence the weather etc in this version.
Be good to see it all bundled together in say AC2!

Wikipedia says they started using the Unity engine but due to constraints wrote their own engine from scratch,
