Apologies, gents, but I can't turn up tonight.
I had a small (hernia) operation yesterday afternoon, I was thinking maybe I'll be ok... however, I don't really feel strong to such a task just yet.
I agree, wholeheartedly. My suggestion is, since the Pat Phillips cup is about full, we start a new one in memory of Bruce.I would like to propose we now call Thursday Fun Nights, Flattop Thursdays as a permanent memorial.I'd like to see the Pat Phillips Cup continue on Tuesdays and go with the Thursday memorial for Flattop.
I feel very sad.
For many years we've known each other, raced together, and he was indeed the "top bloke", the best gentleman you can ask for, both on the track and off it.

RIP my friend.
Now you just need to buy some rgb strips, and keep going with the xmas spirit!
I've got the same cooler, btw, but I've gone for quietness and ease of use, so mine is not visible unless I open the case. Not that I miss it too much; I've got a corsair RGB keyboard to light up the desk
Has anyone else ever raised a support call to Fanatec here in Australia?
I did, too (email) - got a reasonably quick response with a slow & shoddy resolution :/ (took 3+ weeks, then one screw just fell out of the wheel right after unpacking it).
It was a bit infuriating, since I've paid full price for a new wheel and got a DOA (just like you). It seems their QC is still not up to scratch.
It was around xmas...so good luck.

Oh, yea, forgot the fuel; I went with Wally's prediction plus a bit (75L all up) and barely made it...shows it's not worth trying to save weight on fuel, it barely makes a difference - especially in these cars! - but can be the sudden end of the race.
Bueller, that was a mighty fight, I was wondering what happened to you in the pits as you seemed to push on before, right on my tail yet come out way behind - and I wasn't entirely quick with my pit, but at least haven't effed it up.

This was a really good track. I did not expect the result, but I'll happily take it. It has really suited me and the car somehow.
Great driving gents - far less than expected accidents! I guess everyone was pretty careful because the track looked and felt fairly treacherous
(sorry it hasn't happened in a while)

Again, apologies for my effup, gents. I thought I'll be able to pull it in before that corner...I was wrong by a half a meter or so. My racecraft is a bit rusty and I'm too eager, it'd seem.
Wally, you were really fast yesternight, it was awesome!
I've made a couple of mistakes even in the 1st race, so I kept dropping back.
The 2nd race indeed, managed to make a few nice clean passes early on, everyone seemed to be really well aware of the surroundings - then I've made the booboo.
The pantera was indeed very drivable here (as well) it'd seem it's still the awesome, user-friendly car it was in GTL, huh?
Sorry, I've simply moved it to the generic channel - I wanted to make it a news item but it was too long and did not have time then and there to look up what was the method of instructing SMF to split the home-page portion out, so I just left it there.
Apologies, lack of time and maybe bad judgement.
The refresh rate is a bit of a personal difference/preference thing.I haven't had any problems ultra wide yet, most modern games are on to it, I think the biggest issue was that some in-game ui would look stretched but the game would run fine. I came across a website that had fixes for this type of issues so I don't think it's a problem (so far, never had to use any), could be if you run some older games. The games that don't support the wider resolutions probably don't support multi monitor and you'll have black bars on the side, no drama we watch movies like that on our tvs.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying; each to his own

Some people can genuinely see the difference between 60Hz and higher refresh rates, but a lot cannot. I'd actually check it out first before pulling the pin - unless it does not matter.
The other important aspect is usage. There's no single great solution for everyone. I prefer screen real estate, and I hate curved screens... hence my 43" 4k montior. But I've used triples before, and for racing they're quite good (side-by-side). Sadly the triple setup is not the best for anything else. I also detest having only 1080 pixels vertically, I can't even fit an a4 page on it.
Each to his own, I guess.
Edit: oh, and the issue with the widescreen setup, is that a lot of games don't like that kind of unusual aspect ratio. So again: it all depends on usage. Altho if you've triples, at least you can change the config to use a single screen.
I reckon it'd be a good idea to migrate to discord, TS has not been playing nice and having something else as backup isn't working too well - people don't install it.
So move over to discord officially & leave TS as backup is my vote.
