Was a fun nights racing, and on a surprisingly excellent track.
Race 1 hit the wall a few times too many, Race 2 much better 2nd and reasonably close to 1st and 3rd. 108

Definitely one for next season, great cars and a great track.
For some reason I was expecting a XJS, not the XJC, wasn't disappointed though. I had some good pace in this car with a 1.15.7 in Quali, but overdid it in the race, Pukekohe isn't a track to try overtaking from off the racing line. 109

Tough luck if You like F1 as TEN have sold off half the races to Fox. TEN will show half of the races live and only 1 hr highlights
for the rest. Sneaky underhanded move announcing this 1 month before the season starts. Looks like I'll be downloading the races at least a day later or try to find a streaming service that looks at least as good as SD tv. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/motor-sport/formula-1-australian-tv-rights-to-be-shared-by-ten-fox-sports-foxtel-in-five-year-deal-from-2015/story-fni2fu80-1227217569413?nk=fbadd505e9a4303c49d541112cd8089b 111

That was an enjoyable nights racing.
The mini felt to me as though the front corners are too soft as far as nose dive is concerned, but with no adjustments at the moment there isn't much that can be done. I think I was just a bit more consistent than some others, didn't get fastest laps anywhere, but not bad either. Late braking definitely doesn't work well in the Mini. 114

I don't remember this at the time as Channel 9 never broadcast qualifying, but it's still hard to
believe it happened even though the video proves it, absolutely incredible. 115

Race 1 for me was terrible, mainly due to repeated locking up of the fronts. Fortunately Race 2 was the opposite as I
modified my braking style and as a result had a great time chasing Gwyar for about 1/2 the race. Got alongside twice but couldn't make a pass stick from off the racing line, finished 0.19 seconds behind. 116

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: New pit lane penalty app: 0.8 for download« on: December 21, 2014, 09:03:06 PM »https://www.dropbox.com/s/3u86z4ovl9u3xc8/PitLanePenalty0.8.zip?dl=0 Thanks Wally. Hey Wally, is there a possibility of uploading the App somewhere other than only the Assetto Corsa forum, everytime I log in via steam they have to send this stupid code, and most of the time they don't send it.You should only need to do that the first time? Steam itself is a Browser, so when I try to log in via steam from Firefox, Steam gets suspicious that funny activilty might be happening so wants You to enter a code they send via email to prove who You are, problem is half the time they don't send the code or it gets caught by optus spam filter, either way it's a damned nuisance. I set Firefox up to delete history every shut down, so that could be half the problem too. 119

That's the reason why I still had 0.7 last week, I couldn't download it. Now that I think of it You should be able to upload it to XGN, which would be best of course. 120
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Car buying...and incidentally; the old GTL stats :)« on: December 21, 2014, 12:56:13 PM »ahhh I remember those days... Lol Bruce. I only just gave away my old wheel 2 weeks ago, Logitech Wingman, no ffb but it did have screw down clamps. The main problem with it was the pedals, I had to brake way earlier than most everyone else. Suction cups would have been terrible. |
