Not sure how to vote. Ballast was generally good and worked well I thought. But also when the fastest guys are consistently not at the top you have to ask why.

That's because in theory, there are no ”fastest guys”, with everyone doing comparable lap times.

I thought it worked very well. In most qualifying sessions, there was only about 2 seconds from front to back in lap times, so it certainly brought the field's capabilities closer together. Like Freezer said, it mixed up the pack a bit, and hopefully got people racing closer with people they might not have raced against otherwise.

Stan thought the fast guys were unfairly burdened, but I don't think so. It just takes that much ballast to get them to a more middle lap time. They still had good results, and probably more mid-pack battles than they're used to.

While the season's still fresh in people's minds, would you like to use that ballast system again in some future season?

Sorry I missed

My PC died yesterday,  have had to do a full reinstall,, couldn't do a restore because restore didn't exist anymore, along with scan disc and heaps of other windows things :( windows became corrupted or something

What a pain. Good luck getting it all back together.

From the AC forum (twitter thread):

"Marco Massarutto told in a video posted by ACItaly that within this week would be released 1.3.5 with Audi R8 Plus and some features about multiplayer latency.

About half of December will be released Dream Pack 3 with Brands Hatch laser scan and 7 new cars: Lotus 25 di Jim Clark, la Lotus 72 D, la McLaren 650 GT3, la Mercedes AMG GT3, la 500 Abarth Assetto Corsa e la Ford Escord Mk.1 (I missed last one).

Before Xmas there will be a free content and on 31st DEC will be announced a new Brand license.
That's all I know till the end of the year"

Excellent news, and good timing! They obviously plan their releases around our season.

In race 1, I was underweight (even though I was in the middle of the times at Monza. I just suck at Monza), so I had good pace. I got a great start off the line from second on the grid, drifted it through T1 (luckily the guys behind me were awake), and then lead the whole race with Skaife pressuring me all the way. I had a few wobbles here and there, but held it together. I had looped it plenty of times during prac and qually, so I was more careful not to do something stupid during the race. I held it together for my only win of the season.

In race 2, with more ballast I was further back in the pack. On lap 2, coming through that really fast, blind right hander over the hill, I slipped a bit on the right kerb, which sent my car sliding towards the wall on the right. I managed to keep it off the wall, avoiding any wing damage, but I left half of my rubber on the tarmac in the process. I was flatspotted, or grained or both, and I kept locking up my wheels every time I braked, which was costing me 2 or 3 seconds per lap. I had to readjust my pit strategy, and pitted as soon as I could and still make it home on one tank, to get new tyres.

When I came out, I had much better pace, and managed to claw back a few spots to 8th. I was chasing Ed for a while, and only got passed after he'd had a spin on lap 17.

Are the team standing scores correct Wally?
If so, why aren't we in 6th?
Apologies, sorting was wrong. Aleph Null is in 6th.
