I'm up for anything.... ANYTHING.

Would it be worth considering a tyre handicap with the slower cars - semi-slicks v road?  Not sure if you could monitor it using laps in ptracker or something, or whether it would just be up to the honesty of the individual?

It would have to be an honesty system. There's no way of knowing who's on what, so that's of dubious value. People will forget...

What I'm thinking with the Zonda is that some people don't like road cars, and prefer race cars. This would be a race car option.

There will be a poll with a few options, as always.

I've been having some thoughts...

1. Abarth 500/Step 1 handicap (top half of field get the slower car), just to close up the field a little and spice it up a bit.
2. As above, but with close X-Bow & Lotus 2-11 (similar styles of car, similar performances).
3. Pagani Zonda R single make.

In general, I like the idea of multiple makes, giving a bit of a slight handicap. Otherwise every race is too predictable. But discuss away...

I found some new racing hardware. What do you think?

Not sure Wally   I do seem to be the only one having issues
Maybe delete and reinstall ??
Maybe.... Have you ever deleted your My Documents Assetto Corsa folder and let the game recreate it?

I'm out for the remainder Wally
Just not getting into Assetto Corsa atm
I dont know if it's me, my net connection or both. but am finding very hard drive
OK, no worries. It is strange to hear about your unpredictability woes, as I don't find that at all. I find the cars feel and react very intuitively. Perhaps it's a controller issue of some sort - spiking maybe.

In race 1, I made a bad mistake on about turn 3 on a slippery track, slipping off the right hand side of the track in the long corner and dropping to second last when I re-entered. But I fought back, having a few good side-by-side corners with JamieP until he slid off, and then chasing Jeremy until he slid off. After that, I couldn't catch Phil, and finished 6th.

Race 2 I was off in the lead after starting 2nd, surprised to see Guybrush behind me so quickly. It was a good chase for a few laps, until either he or I warped into each other (I can't tell who from my replay). But that knocked us both back a few spots. A bit of battling, and then I was behind Freezer, in second place, after we both threaded our way through the aftermath of an accident. It was a good chase from there, but Freezer appeared to be starting to warp, so I backed off a little and decided to pit earlier than I had planned to avoid any warp mishaps. I just filled up the tank and changed tyres, and took off again, in a nice Simone, Guybrush, Matthew, Bacchulum train for several laps. Simone spun, Guybrush spun and ran out of fuel, I hung on for 4th in a good result, and my best round, points-wise.

Penalties
Race 1: Gratulin (-4) for running into the back of Joe (+4)

Race 2: Phil.8 (-8) for running into the back of Christopheraser (+8), also hitting Marty (+8)

Christopheraser (-8) for running into the side of Joe (+8). This was a tricky one. The impact was side by side; Joe was slightly in front of Chris; Chris was moving sideways towards the apex while Joe had nowhere to go.

Gratulin (-8) for running into the back of Matthew111 (+8). Following this, Chris swerved justifiably to avoid Matthew after his hit, and clipped JamieP, just to clarify what happened.
