The Sierra can make ~11-12 laps on tyres, the Merc was just loosing its' rears at the same time, so whether needing fuel or not, there will be a tyre change in the 16 laps to make it interesting...

So, the interip and the squares from last week, lets see a good field...

Just did 16 lap race and the Sierra can finish in 39:55 (actually did 40:09 but had a 12s stuff up) so might want to add 2 or 3 laps....

Should add (the extra laps) that this also places pressure on the one stop strategy as it stretches the tyres right to the limit.

However, I did mount the barrier on top of the mountain on one occasion  so am very glad there was no damage.

Was fun guys thanks for the race, was kind of amazed everyone went the 1 stop seeing the hards werent that far off the pace. I put them on without having done a long run and simply assumed these cars should be able to run a full fuel run reasonably well and most likely quicker then doing the same distance with a stop.

With not much practice I only had time to find pressures on one compound and found it took about 6 laps just to get the pressures to normalize. In the race I could see Phil clearly had the pace on me with lower fuel and softer tyres so I didnt really want to battle him and hoped I would get him on strategy instead. I was kind of glad when I saw him pit as if that was his pace on the same fuel load and if the mediums would be ok at the end he would have got me fairly easily.

Once he pitted and I noticed my car was still getting quicker and his early pace I could see he wasnt going to make up 20 seconds unless I made a silly error. I lost a few seconds lapping people, they were all good and left room but I just caught everyone in the wrong spot and the 2 ring ins were both parked across the track at the top of the mountain as I got there so luckily I had enough room to get around them. If Phil and I had ran the same stop strategy I think it would have been a very good race between us.

Not sure if anyone else noticed  but I saw a fair bit of warping on the server at times, my ping seemed solid but maybe a join lag as some cars would pop in and out at times.

I had a few warps also with good ping, i am going to put in a ticket as its never done that before
