Fanatec pedal
« on: September 24, 2018, 10:38:17 AM »
Hey guys,  I wanted to pick up my wheel a bit a while ago and found my pedals not working.

Fanatec CSR (advanced german engineering - and chinese porduction...)

I'm wondering if you guys have any insight how could it be fixed - or if.  I'm not keen on buying another fanatec anything,  but the wheel is still working.   Kind of a funny situ.

What are you seeing? Does it show up as a device in Windows? Is there just no input showing up in the control panel/profiler?

Had similar issues with my wheel when windows 10 1803 finally caught up with me. The wheel was not recognised in windows and the driver page. Even after reinstalled drivers, it didn't show up until I swapped usb ports. I'm not sure what exactly fixed it maybe the combination of usb port swap and driver install (numerous times)

I have a set of CSRe pedals laying around if your want bits... good working order.

Drivers can be an issue in Windows 10, just reinstall a generic usb driver like Bueller explained.

I'm curious to know what the symptoms are?

Happy to donate my pedals to a good cause if that doesn't work.

Sorry guys, work has overtaken everything right now - I'll check what exactly happens, good tip Wally, thanks!

It's win7, and so far the symptom was that the pedals did not work in AC :)

Keith, thanks, very generous, I might buy it off you - since it's a working pedal, I feel that's the correct way about it .

Ok, well, embarrassing as it is, it was a false alarm.   The pedals are working this time.

Did you turn it off and on again?

Funnily enough I did that on the previous occasion...Not just because I work in IT, but I've also watched the IT crowd!
(and previously the wheel worked, the pedals just wouldn't - that kind of pointed towards them being faulty)

This time though, I've just plugged it all together, and voila... You gotta love IT.

They don't call USB "plug and pray" for nothing :)

Keith, if you still have it and don't need it, I'd be happy to buy it off you.   I've had another one of these "fucker just doesn't work" moments.  Lots of kicking and screaming and it worked, but something inside the pedal set isn't 100%.

For sure, I’m in Sydney. Where do they have to go?

Not sure if you got my pm or not...

Shipping is a killer, I’m happy to take the wife on a scenic drive and drop them off to you if you like?
