Rules
* Car Selection. In the first round, every driver will start in the BMW M3 E30 Group A. After each round, the bottom half of the field, determined by total round points, will be assigned the BMW M3 E30 DTM for the next round. A driver who misses a round will keep the car they last drove.
* Track Limits. The AC track cutting penalty system will not be used. You must keep at least one wheel within the track boundary, typically delimited by white lines. This won't be enforced. It is an honour system.
* Redress. If you gain position advantage over another driver by colliding with them such that their car leaves the track, or by cutting the track yourself, you are expected to redress your position as soon as safely possible. Gaining position by "reasonable" side-by-side contact is allowed, but rear collisions must be avoided. This won't be enforced. It is an honour system.
* Track Re-entry. You must always re-enter the track with extreme caution. Any collision on re-entry must be redressed.
* Assists. Driving assists like ABS and TC can be used if available on the car. There is no forced driving view.
* Fuel/Tyre Multiplier. Due to an AC bug, please ensure that your Fuel and Tyre wear multipliers in offline mode are set to 1x.

FYI, I've kept this season relatively short, since we'll all be keen to try a variety of cars. Some details of the season might change as the game evolves too.

I'm in for sure. Might have to miss the Silverstone round due to an exam. Nice car choice too!

With rules for track limits and redress I assume that if you make a pass or avoid losing a position by going outside track limits you should also give back the position.

How about on a track like Vallelunga where the normal racing line allows use of all 4 wheels beyond the kerb as I have seen in most real onboard videos. Also ingame cutting penalty allows this as does RSR app as in this video at 1:00 into turn 12. In the lotus vs KTM race I didnt use this line as I wasnt sure plus in those cars it is better to stay inside the kerb anyway.

Yes, good point. I'll update the rules. Basically, if you gain track position unfairly, you need to redress it.

We had this discussion in the netKar league, and because every track has different run-off variations which not everyone will be aware of, to keep it simple with a minimum of thought required, the rule will be to keep at least one wheel between the white lines everywhere.
