The AC fanboys are scathing in the PC2 thread on the AC forums.

Steam reviews are a mixed bag. Lots of comments about not being able to feel what the car is doing and that the graphics are actually hit and miss.

I own so many sims I don't play. I might get in when on special again and if enough play it to race online with once a week or so,  but at the moment not sounding worth buying at all, especially at full price as i missed out on the deal.

Haven't had a chance to get on yet, hopefully this arvo. I'll try out the similar stuff to what we've been doing in ac, escorts Lola, similar tracks, for a more direct comparison while still fresh. Watched gamermuscle and inside sim racing reviews and thinking I should have waited for $30-40 prices on g2a or kinguin

I got myself a copy to trial it (arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

I tried the Porsche GT3 RS at Spa. Did some laps in PC2, then did the same in AC, then back to PC2 for a bit.

Overall from a quick run it's not that bad. I never tried PC1 as a comparison, but it feels okay to me.

Visually Spa looked better on PC2 than it did on AC, but I was only getting ~40fps with all settings on medium whereas in AC I'm pretty much maxed out getting 60+fps. I turned the rain on and I had my FPS dropping into the mid 30s which sucks. I have a GTX 970 which is overclocked.

I set up my triple monitors in the settings, but that didn't automatically set the FOV which AC does. I used an online calculator and set what it told me and it looked about right. There is no good way to set the driver eye position. While you can change it with WASD keys it doesn't save and it did seem to move around. I would line my wheel up with the wheel on screen then as I was driving it would have moved. I guess this could be a setting to change somewhere.

I was also locking up my brakes very easily in PC2 compared to AC. That could just be some settings to change or to fiddle with the load cell sensitivity on my pedals to get it to how I like it.

There was some texture pop-up at spa, specifically some buildings on the left when heading to eau rouge. The tyre screeching sounds also are a bit annoying.

It doesn't feel quite as good as AC, but it doesn't seem bad. I only had about an hour on one track with one car, and I haven't changed many settings, but I think I'll play around with it some more.

I think in one of the reviews they said set world movement to 100? Might stop the driver seat thing you're experiencing
Edit, just looking at the settings now I think that should be 0

Thanks. I think that was the inside sim racing review. I knew he said something about it. I was gonna go back and check. He also said to set brake sensitivity to 50% which seems to be default now but still too sensitive for me.

There is just a brake sensitivity setting. It says if ypu set it to 50% it will be 1 to 1 whats coming through the pedals but wasny able to brake half as hard as i do in AC without locking

Oh maaaaan, that world movement setting definitely needs to be 100, try a v8sc around Bathurst with it at 0....vomit lol
I think I'm close to maxed graphics settings and 100fps locked with 1080ti @ 3440x1440p. Latest driver released pc2.
Spent most of the last hr or so tuning game and graphics settings in Ford Escort race spec @ nurb sprint. More details later

100? I've set it to 0 based on the description saying the higher the value the more movement. I still noticing a heap of movement going up and down hill which is annoying the shit out of me.

Edit: you're right 100 fixed it. The description is wrong.
