Brad, I think you can still report any incident (mostly where you think you came out second best) to Wally, and he'll be the judge of it - but don't expect him to watch all races from everyone's perspective every time.

The contacts I think are due to most of us not used to mixed car racing too much.   Early on in GTL we had plenty of these, until everyone has learned how to cope with very different cars.

I think we are all a bit above that, these things become tedious and eventually collapse once formal protests and reviews are put in place.  The pack will take care of itself  8)

The one thing I would remind people of is the general gentleman's expectation that if you take someone out you will redress.  My moto "if in doubt, redress".

The best and worst of sim racing.  I respectfully disagree with the judgements but won't dwell on it.

I obviously need to go and reconsider my starts, sorry to all I impacted in T1, R1.

Thanks to DaveO for some great racing in every race, side by side, position swapping and no contact.

No practice, missed qual however guest was beset with jet ag so was able to unexpectedly jump in midway through the first race.

Great car and track combo and some good racing, especially with Able in Race 3.

Race 3 off at the end of the lap was definitely due to me being a bit aggressive, from memory I got a bit wide on exit after passing Freezer into the last chicane and then tried to come back across and got a tap in the rear quarter panel.  Defiantly no fault for Freezer.

I'll be there - all four days  8)

Bringing my old man down for Sat and Sun so won't be moving around too much on those days but catchup on Thursday or Friday would be good.

Also off to China (first time) and Silverstone (5th time) this year and of course you can never rule out Singapore until the week of the race....

Pink Floyd - Brain Damage (Waters)

Never gets old.

I often wonder, what music from today will people be listening to / absorbed by in 46 years?

Any Radiohead moments?

Radiohead moment  Generic I know but I am sure I will have a better moment sometime  :-[

Another good nights racing. It's been a little busy around here lately so no practice to speak of.  Made a few little changes to the base setup and set about trying to find some enjoyment during practice.  Didn't happen :)  Pulled a lap from nowhere in qual to get into the 18's which I hoped would be enough to find a safe spot on the track given the gap to people ahead and people behind.

All three races turned out to be crackers.  I didn't quite have the pace of grat and Bird but certainly had a good view of the race long battles.  Freezer was in his own league in race 1 but in the other 2 races he managed to get involved in the grat / Bird battle which made even more entertaining viewing.  I did briefly drop into the lead in race 2 when the others went off at the end of the back straight, I knew I didn't have the pace to hold it so tried to let grat past but stuff happened and I had a small spin - my only real error for the night.

Another great example of the practice times not reflecting the racing, the GT3RS and R were pretty even once in traffic with the RS only having a slight advantage down the back straight but requiring a massive set if a move was to be attempted at the fast right hander.

Think I fell across the line in the mini series due to Bird disconnecting in the last race (I know you forgot to load setup but the pace you had would have seen you back on my tail by the end of the race) and sneaking past Freezer when he went off with 2 laps to go.

Thanks to Wally for setting it up, has been interesting to try something new. If we can get the numbers back up and fine tune the strategy side I think it is an interesting concept.  I do accept that the guys who are normally at the front and race for wins alone probably don't "get" it.

Keep safe Phil.  Unfortunately circumstance but some good photos in that album.

Hey Wally - you have managed to add at mailto tag for the second link :)

I think what Mael is saying is that the way it is worded we have 117,900 in assets; 57,500 invested in the Boxster and 60,400 in cash.  What is actually happening in is you only have 60,400 of credit, free cash flow is only 2,900 to upgrade, the rest is tied up in the car.  This is how I see the rent button working (in Brave).

Interesting concept, I am all for things that create a bit of uniqueness to a series and help get some new rivalries going.

I have also been thinking about how to implement a handicappers series.  Basically the average clean lap time from practice (pros and cons to be considered) time for drivers are ranked then drivers are placed into 3 or 4 packs and given a calculated handicap calculated on “lap time delta x (race laps - 3))”.  Theory being the pack should merge in the last few laps.  The best I have come up with so far is chat messages based on honesty (and post race review).

Good, fun racing last night.  A couple of the public guys were good racers.

Thanks for corralling it all Phil.

Should be an interesting race.

Shorty will lose all hope after the long pit stop of course.
