It was a timely reminder to actually set the laps ;)

My internet has shat itself, so I may or may not be able to host a server or race tonight. I'll keep you posted, but maybe you guys can just have a fun/practice race on the practice server at Chang.

NBN's back, so no disruption to normal service.

Good nights racing for me with a surprising pole to start.
That however went from hero to zero with a spin at the first corner.  Luckily got going quickly and had fun chasing
through the pack to get back to 4th.  As for the contact with DaveReid, I was actually half way down the inside of him and
strangely his car did a funny kink right ( like a lag ), then spun, but it didn't visually contact my car.  I wasn't sure if it was him
spinning or contact with me!
Race two was a long chase of Joe but couldn't make much impression.
Race three was excellent with a number of position changes with Joe as Mael slowly pulled away in front.
Add to that two fastest laps and it was a pretty successful night.

Good start in race one, but I think I got hit (can't remember, something went wrong anyway) in the first turn, went off and lost a lot of positions because of that.
Well, big apology to Wally for the nudge...I screwed it  :-[
Yeah, probably was a bit overly keen after the messy start and made a number of little mistakes in races 1 and 2.
Race 3 was good. It's a fun track...works well with these cars.
Cheers

For anyone interested in a quick edit I put together of the action I saw from last place :P

Freezer - super interesting to see that this is how close you saw yourself from top down.  Check the video and you can see 1:39 wheel straight, 1:40 turn in and helicorsa has your nose aligned to my tail and then 1:41 the gap was gone, and within the next second we came together and helicorsa still has you no more than 1/2 way up the car.

These cars work on this track, well done Wally!
Race one I made a good start and ran clean.
Race two I made a good start but got some really weird lag/connection issues whilst battling with Phil mid race, plus I saw the dreaded 99% occupancy error message so I'm not sure what is happening there as I've not seen that for well over a year, with only 12 or so cars on track I would not have thought that would be too stressful for my pc!
Race three I made a good start and was battling to close on killa until I ran wide on the exit of the last corner and thought I'd power through and cop the cutting-track warning until the car made a huge hard right turn causing me to spin and wipe out my front wing, from there the last two laps were rather tough driving with the wheel left hand down at about 45 degrees to drive straight...All in all a very surprising night and I'm so glad I abandoned the high downforce thinking as I found over 2 seconds improvement by dropping the wings

Race 1 I got out ahead after Freezer's mishap and had a good gap so was able to keep a comfortable race pace.
Race 2 had Freezer pretty close behind me so had to push it a bit harder.
Race 3 Mael got a draft and a clean pass (for once) and wasn't much I could do. After that Freezer was close behind and had an awesome battle for the rest of the race. I had the pace on Mael but the battle allowed him to pull ahead but was the best racing I've had all season. I saved the replay as I wanted to go back and look at some of the passes.
