Such a shame Sochi didn't work out for us because I think for the first time this season, I actually had a fast set up. I ducked out for a quick drink at the end of practice and missed all the conversation about the track issues but one thing I did notice was that PLP didn't seem to be working with track.
As for Monza, I'm not going to be too critical because it was a last minute call, but man I hate racing at that track, mainly because that track always seems to be full of farmers plowing cars off the track. and most of it is because of that stupid turn 1 chicane....

Race 1, attempt 1,  I got the best start of my year jumping both Freezer and Joe off the line to lead into the chicane, until all hell broke lose and we had to restart. Attempt 2, I forgot to engage a gear and sat revving away in N. When I finally got away I was plowed at the chicane by a car sliding down the grass on the inside! Attempt 3, which we actually raced, was pretty good, until I made mistakes and spun.

Race 2, I had a great start, but didn't have enough speed to pass as I'd be in the grass and then got hung out wide at the 1st chicane before getting side by side with Wally on the approach to the next chicane where I had to yeild. The next lap or so went well until I got a good run off the Parabolica was dragged raced Wally down the front straight 3-wide (with someone else) down the straight until someone behind us didn't brake early enough for the chicane and plowed into us...by then I'd had enough of the farming and gave up for the night.

Bit of a shame to finish the season that way, but still looking forward to the next

Thank you Wally for the season and the work you put in for us   :)

Modern Monza isn't my thing at all, although I loved GPL Monza. Something special about t1 there as every lap it was will I make it or not.  Its like trying to cook a favourite recipe of your mums but never turns out any good that is what modern monza is to me.  So decided to work on a bonus track for Thursday fun runs

Yeah, that was a messy one...sure I gotta take the blame for at least a couple of accidents.
So my apologies to the guys affected.
Race 2 was actually quite good, but the rest I better forget quickly.
Bad accident in race 3 made me calling it an early night.
It was a good and fun season...a pity especially Wally had to suffer from a few mistakes of mine towards the end.
Thanks Wally for your efforts...next one (hopefully not with a fixed setup as it is being discussed atm)  :)

As Bradc said, was a shame not race Sochi.  I also was feeling pretty racy for that track.
This season turned a corner for me with a setup from team mate Mael which made the car feel a lot more stable and I was
able to push harder with much better results coming in the second half.
I have been running a high 1st gear which balanced out my overall gearing but made it hard to get away and that was again
the case at Monza.  I dropped some wing off in the second race and whilst I did set a faster PB compared to R1 and R3 I struggled
a bit with braking so was a bit on the ragged edge.
All up a good season from Mael and myself putting the odd bit of pressure on Joe and I grabbed a rare season podium spot.

Thanks for the season Wally. Always appreciate the effort that goes in.

I seemed to have pace and consistency in these cars so they must have suited me somehow. Had a fun season trying to be quick, but didn't get that much actual racing apart from a few races. The highlight was probably the battle with Freezer the previous round.
