Broke out the old Time Machine and converted a version of Laguna before the layout changes. :D
This one will rattle ya' fillings out, even though I spent two days trying to figure out how to smooth a mesh I couldn't really get what I was after. :'(

Being a conversion it is what it is, so if anyone would like to test it and if anyone feels that despite its shortfalls it could be used for this round then cool. :P

Fixed. My only complaint is the contrast between the track and off track is too great, track is very bright and off track very dark. Is it easy to fix or major fix ?

I think this track is now good enough to run this Thursday, in the interest of keeping it close to the real 1966 series could Phil or Bacchulum (or anybody else) please try this track and confirm my opinion.

I would really like a second opinion as it may be too bumpy for some , it is ok for me :-\ and very different to current layout which I like.

Post by: humper on October 06, 2017, 08:35:17 AM: Great nights racing! Enjoyed the track also as it was a real challenge, quite tricky to get the power down over the bumps and slippery ripple strips but rewarding. Still loving these cars can't believe there is only a few rounds left.

I also had a great night of racing with I think , all the other drivers behind me at some stage, as I had lots of different coloured cars in my rearview mirror, if only briefly :(. One of the highlights was being passed by Bacchulum in the dipper, I would not have thought it possible :o . I really believe these cars grow on you with more time driving them.

With the longer track next week a big rollup would be good, with that in mind this is my setup for the Lola Ford which makes it very driveable just adjust the gear ratios.

I was trying out the gt cars at daytona before I realised the time and only just made it for the qualifying round. Enjoyed the racing with you guys and the car/track combo is great. Not sure why the ripple strips on the exits are like quick sand, it caught me out quite often, getting sucked into it and then even worse dragging myself out of it and coming back across the track toward other cars. Still a lot of fun thanks guys

Post by: Joe on October 06, 2017, 02:13:10 PM: Like bueller I downloaded the track just in time for qually so qually and race 1 was my practice. By race 2 I'd found that groove Mael and Bacc were referring too. Was looking good to win race 3 too but coming down the corkscrew on lap 6 I got a little over confident; I had a good line so have it a little gas through the steep right and spun off onto the gravel. Great fun.
