Hey, you have the same rig as me
Good to see that you selected such a good rig. I chose the Obutto because I also use it as a workstation to work from home. Just remove the wheel rim from the hub and it's perfect. I need lots of screen real estate for work.
That wasn't an actual photo of my rig. I just grabbed it off the web due to lack of time. My keyboard is on the other side too and I don't currently have a shifter.
Now that I have a bit more time, here is a real picture ... complete with button box just resting on the table top.

Sorry Russ, I just had to laugh. The button box falling was the final straw.
Glad it brightened your day. I was fuming at the time, but I'm over it now
As soon as the pit app appeared waaay over there I knew what had happened but it put me off ....
The button box used to be bolted to the wheel hub but the connecting arms snapped off some time ago. The Obutto seat has these "table tops" on each side and they swivel back and forth as well as being able to tilt for placing paperwork or something on them. So I have just had the button box sitting on the right hand table top but this is the first time the vibration has tilted it over. Time to get the allen keys out and do some tightening

I have 3 words for my race.
Brushed the wall on the straight and the engine blew. I couldn't believe this one. I would have expected a little bit of side damage.
Escaped to pits - 289 sec controls locked
Due to disaster 1 needed to change pit plan. Pit app appeared far right of right screen. I had previously placed it on middle screen where I could see it properly.
Trying to set new plan I took eyes off road too long missed brake point hit wall. Engine blew.
Escaped to pits - 258 secs controls locked.
7 minutes left in race.
The bumpy track shook the rig so much that one of my "table tops" (the one holding up my button box) tilted itself down. Button box fell on keyboard. Hit wall. Engine blew.
In between I had some good times. I actually like the longer races but this one just wasn't to be.

Also sorry to Russ for the contact in race 2, I thought I left enough space on the outside. If not then I apologize. No worries Mael. I wasn't happy at the time, but it's all good.
I think I let a good result slip through my fingers here.
In practise I had the pace.
In qual I did some ordinary laps, then I was on a flyer. According to the Delta it would have been good enough to take pole. Halfway through the last turn I ran out of fuel Qualified 8th
Race 1: Got away OK, had a little side by side battle with kcender (i think) and we dropped a bit behind the front group. When it came to braking into the hairpin at the bottom of the hill I apparently misjudged the slowness of the leaders as even though I was far behind, I had to lockup to avoid running into the back of AJ. I spun off and rejoined at the back ... Fought back to 18th at the end.
Race 2: Even though I didn't manage to set a proper time in Race 1, I still somehow started 5th for race 2 Got away OK with the pack, then got propped a bit at the uphill esses which allowed Mael to charge around the outside. We stayed side by side through the right hander over the top of the hill and down the hill until the braking zone where we touched lightly and I went off and rejoined a distant last.
From there I had some fun racing with the restrictor really playing a part and managed to fight back to 12th.
Well done to my teammate ab156 who was right up there amongst it at this round

Yep, that's it. Thanks Phil.
I can confirm that I bumped Phil off the track. I do remember the incident, but I had no idea it was Phil or that I was in the wrong at the time, hence my confusion.
I could say a lot about this incident, but I won't .... except ...
At the time I had no idea what car was near me and watching from my driving view I couldn't even see Phil's car (even with my triple screens). For some reason Phil's car also didn't show up on Helicorsa (in the replay, so I assume it was the same live) where the other cars around me did. I was trying to take particular care with the cars I could see at the time. I notice on the replay that my car showed in Helicorsa for Phil, but his car didn't show for me
Anyway, I had some good racing which is the main thing

Seems like nobody is able to post the replay for Race 1???
I'm not claiming innocence here, but I cannot remember anything about the incidents that I have been penalised for. I would just like to be able to see the footage.

RussG banged into Phil’s side twice, the second time enough to send Phil off the track (ballast penalty).
Could someone upload Race 1 replay? AC is so brain dead at saving replays that I have Race 2 and 19 other older replays saved. AC has a limit of saving 20 race replays, but when you hit the limit it deletes the MOST RECENT replay. Well thought out ...
I remember bumping Phil once on the last lap I think. I'd just like to see the footage.

Well what can I say .....
I certainly wasn't expecting tonight to turn out the way it did although I was hoping for a good result after posting good practise times.
Qually went well and managed to hold out Matthew111 by a few tenths for my first pole.
R1: Got off the line OK and into T1 in the lead. Bacchulum outdragged Matthew111 and was in second. I was expecting Bacchulum to come knocking on my rear bumper, but to my surprise I was able to extend the gap by a few tenths each lap.
Was really chuffed to come away with my first race win
R2: I expected this to be tougher ... and it was. Started from pole again and got to T1 first, but this time it was AJ hassling me all through lap 1. He passed me down the straight at the end of lap 1 only to run wide in T3. From then on it was Matthew111 applying the pressure. I was managing to keep the gap at about 1.5 secs most of the time, but couldn't extend the gap. I was really sweating trying not to put a wheel in the sand as it slows you so much. I did do it a couple of times coming onto the straight and Matthew111 closed up heaps each time. He was so consistent and I felt I was losing a bit of concentration in the second half of the race which made it really exciting to manage to hold on for the clean sweep.
Now the restrictor fairy will come along and turn my 54 into something else
Looking forward to the next race although I'm not a fan of Vallelunga ...
