Well I towed the box trailer around in qualy and couldn't really do a lot to impress so started way down the back.  Race one was
pretty hectic and I generally benefited from others spinning etc with the exception of Bradc.  I was having a braking dual with AB into
t1  when right at the last bit Bradc turned in from the outside line.  I was on he inside and had nothing left and gave him a touch . . so apologies to Bradc, couldn't avoid you.
R2 Started 15th but got spun on lap 1 by JamieP which saw me in 20th.  From there it was an excellent and hard fought race.  Battled all the way back to 12th with some tough passes on
Bacchulum, Bradc, RussG and Doobs.  The lack of weight in this race saw me a bit over a second quicker on my best laps and thankfully no penalty for next week. :)

Well I watched the video and yes there was a small touch so I suppose I have to take a penalty.
Then of course if he Phil8 had caught the slide then there probably wouldn't have been a penalty . . . so do we blame him! :) :)

Stewards have come down hard so need to review it!  :)

And yet some might say not hard enough, seeing it seems anything after lap 1 was not even looked at. With this being my first season with this group it's been very clear to me that so long as you race clean on lap 1 for the rest of the race you can drive like a PlayStation warrior punting AI and no one cares because it didn't happen on lap 1....
There is way to much time required for Wally to review the whole race so lap 1 it is.  That said, the normal standard of racing here is very good and the PlayStation analogy is simply wrong!
p.s. I was being sarcastic, as from memory there was a bit or argy bargy prior to the incident I was penalised for so I wanted to see the replay to confirm!

RussG banged into Phil’s side twice, the second time enough to send Phil off the track (ballast penalty).

Could someone upload Race 1 replay? AC is so brain dead at saving replays that I have Race 2 and 19 other older replays saved. AC has a limit of saving 20 race replays, but when you hit the limit it deletes the MOST RECENT replay. Well thought out ...
I remember bumping Phil once on the last lap I think. I'd just like to see the footage.

Thanks
I second that request for a replay or R1 if anyone has it!  Stewards have come down hard so need to review it!  :)

Race 2
Sorry Freezer, I was 4-wide, on the inside behind you but (being on the inside) I totally missed my brake marker and simply locked up into you.
My bad. :(
All good Bacchulum.  Thankfully I kept it going and only lost a couple of spots.. :)

Saw these two fine examples plus a couple of others at the Kings School festival day last weekend.

Looks like my thursday's are also freeing up!  Back to the good old days!!

Well I put in some practice this week and was feeling okay in the car but with 89% I knew I was going to have to drive the wheels off it to have any hope.
Practice went well however I didn't put in a clean lap in qualy to replicate my earlier times so started way down at 17th.
R1 Unfortunately on lap two Daveo got a bit sideways as I was alongside going up the hill which bounced me out to the fence and 21st.  Not looking good.
With the shorter race I only managed to claw back a few spots to finish 17th holding off a fast closing Wally across the line.
R2:  Started 20th and really driving on max this race.  Had Doobs behind for the first half of the race who with a bit more straight line was very hard to stay ahead of and the second
half was a great battle with Bradc.  With a restrictor of 46 he would completely blow me off on the main straight so I was up the inside round the outside, everywhere through the bends
only for him to blast past again on the home straight.  This went on for many laps.  I peaked in 12th position bu then on lap 14 my wheel came off the desk . . .. :( :(  F$#@.  I lost five of the eight
spots I had worked so hard for.  Trundle home and again had Wally charging to the finish behind me :)
Once you worked out the flow, this was a great track tonight.
On the restrictor I would question that having a high one which contributed to a low speed in R1, but then R2 is being set by R1 speed saw me start at the back seems a bit like a double penalty.
I know its swings and roundabout but its a bloody hard fight back!

True , that probably helps  :) I am lucky where my wife is also a bit of a gamer so she allows me to do laps of an evening,  pc gaming is our TV :)
I also fear a little if i don't practice I will lose all skill, I will be 50 in a couple of years,    gotta make hay while I can :)
Well I'm 52, so maybe I should practice more . . . or I'm already past it!  :)

685
Don't worry Freezer, with a little more restrictor you'll be back in the pack ;)
Ah yeah . . . just ran a few laps and this next track is all about flowing speed so not a good week for the restrictor!!  4 Sec per lap behind Bacchulum so far.

I think the Thursday season we did in these maybe helping Joe and Myself out a bit
Not to mention the 250+ laps of practice you do each week . . . . do you actually leave the house!  :)

Wow... what happened with Rolz? I don't want to create any drama, but not being there I am kind of curious of figuring out what happened... After all, he is the cofounder of my team.
I'm not sure. Racing around me was hard but fair. 27 cars on a relatively short, twisty track...
Was thinking the same last night.  Lots of cars in close proximity but very little tears . . . so well done to all!

As for my racing.  I chased slow As quite a bit last night but couldn't quite make an impact on him.  Race one ended up being fairly quite.  But for much of race two i had Jeremy hounding me so the pressure was on for a long time until he had an incident.  I got to lap 30 then suddenly black screens . . . . aah!  But then two seconds later they came back.  I had held the brake and only ended up glancing a wall and was able to push on so very lucky.  Will be hard pressed next week with the high restrictor so might need to do more practice . . :(

Well I knew after last weeks test session that I should be on for a decent result.
R1 Grabbed RussG off the line then managed to get by Doobs about half way round the first lap.  From there Rolz was well out in front
and I couldn't really make a dent so focused on holding the spot to the end which worked out well for 2nd.
R2 Managed to hold out RussG again off the start but I think on the 2nd lap Rolz had a spin and we slipped by.  From there I was able to get past Doobs.
I managed to get around a 5 second lead and just focused on keeping it clean as I was very keen to grab some good points.  Things went well until around the last 4 laps
when Rolz started catching.  I think with the pressure in the final laps I started getting a bit over cautious and allowed him to get right onto the rear of me as we entered the final
turn but i was able to hold on for the win.
Most consistent in both races . . wooo hooo!
Big points boost for Maki Engineering and might just be able to justify the big bucks they're paying me . . . . lets not mention the small restrictor!

Apps / Re: Helicorsa (radar app)

I have lost Helicorsa.  I have tried V7 and back to V6 with the box ticked and yet it no longer appears
in the right side menu in game.
Tested in different cars and on different tracks . . . all the same!
Any suggestions . . . ??

Disregard:  but here is the fix that worked and might work for Gymnastichippo if still having problems.

Delete this:  helicorsa.ini in your Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\apps folder.

Qualified 8th and held 8th for most of race one until with three laps to go coming out of t2 I got a bit sideways and drifted slightly right with my rear tapping the front left of someone attacking from behind.  The result, a spin and 6 places lost.
R2 This race also was going pretty well (9th) for the first bit, generally holding my own until on lap 25 I collected some stranded cars at T1.  Tried to push on but car was stuffed so a lengthy pit stop saw me back out in 21st to finish.
Not a great start season. Certainly room for improvement.
