Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S23R7: Putnam Park Race Chat« on: August 29, 2018, 09:09:07 PM »I'm glad to hear that Bueller came to like the car. That's a common story, where people aren't that keen on a car to start with, but it grows on them. Keep that in mind for future seasons killa, I'm not sure what replay you watched but I have watched the replay from all angles and my take is not the same. Sequence of events (as I see it) ...
Happy to discuss. 77

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S23R5: Daytona Race Chat« on: August 15, 2018, 12:04:32 AM »Race 2 Hi Wally, No mention that I was only on the ripple strip because Jeremy hit me up the arse in the middle of the previous turn which let Kcender breeze through into 2nd place??? Not placing blame here but people aren't hearing the full story. Replay shows that Jeremy released the brakes and hit me when he wasn't braking when he should have been, put me sideways and I ended up on the ripple strip. Then I was trying to accelerate not to lose another place .... R1 was OK. Jeremy got past at T1 with the inside line. Then I was backed up into Matthew and was fighting Matthew with the slipstream for the whole race. R2 After the incident with Jeremy, I ran into the wall at the entry to the back straight. Not sure why as I checked the replay to see if I braked too late and I don't think I did but still I hit the wall (my bad) ... After that the car had no straight line speed. Later I got part car beside Mael on the straight with part of my tyres inside the double yellow line. I held my line but Mael moved left and bumped me off track .... oh well .... R3 Starting at the back. Was going good until Matthew and Kcender got together in the chicane. I ended up fighting with Matthew and made a pass. I'm not sure about the next bit but came together with Matthew as he was making a pass on me out of T1. We bumped, I went into the wall and car was wrecked .... 80

What can I say ....
Disaster Disaster Disaster ... Qualified OK in 7th I think. Race 1: About lap 3 or 4 I very lightly brushed the tyre bundle at the entry to the T1 chicane which sent me into the sand and the car gently rested against one of the tyres on the side of the track. The car stuck to the tyre. I tried to get it off for some time, then ecaped to pits. Rejoined midpack but a lap down ... Race 2: Avoided all the shananigans going on into T1, then as I powered up, turned into one of the tyres on the side of the track. The car stuck to the tyre. I tried to get it off for some time, then ecaped to pits. Didn't try as long this time and rejoined 60+ secs down ..... Race 3: Avoided all the shananigans going on into T1, then as I powered up, turned into one of the tyres on the side of the track. The car stuck to the tyre. Just as I was about to escape to pits again, the car pulled away from the tyre, but still rejoined well down .... All incidents were my fault, but the car shouldn't stick to the tyres . One to forget for me .... Onward to the next round 82

Jean-Luc Picard never ever said "and it was so" ...That's the worst Jean-Luc Picard impersonation I've ever heard (read).I keep suggesting the long/short tail Porsche 962C. He said "Make it so!", then it was up to someone else to "Make it so". 86

Sorry if I sound negative here ... but:
You mean they are finally catching up with rF2 which has had day/night forever and rain for years - including the ability to have "live" weather injected into the game. Oh, except this will be for just one class of racing??? 87

I bogged it down at the start and lost some places. Shayne and I had contact at the first chicane, then I had the incident with Seanus (above) and rejoined a distant last. I had good pace so from there it was quite fun trying to claw my way back. Had some great fun racing and happy with where I finished 88
Racing general / Re: Sim racing aches and pains« on: June 06, 2018, 05:03:31 PM »
I have chronic bilateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow in both arms) and chronic chondromalacia (deteriorated kneecap cartilage) in both knees. The knees can play up a fair bit with racing and every now and then the elbows go off.
When they are giving trouble, I use straps to ease the pain. And yes, I'm getting old 89
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S22R5: Austrian Grand Prix at Österreichring Post Race« on: June 06, 2018, 04:56:32 PM »possibly partly to blame for on off with Russ, sorry. on lap 5, Russ had some kind of off up ahead on the fast section after turn 1. I saw him go flying off up the hill on the grass, but then he span around and came back onto the track in reverse, still spinning. I just missed him by veering left, but went onto the grass and smacked the left armco at high speed and ricocheted into the right side of the track as well. I had bad suspension damage, and crabbed around the rest of the lap with a wobbly car and a sideways steering wheel to pit for repairs, and chucked on some new rubber while I was there. All good mate, I had the slipstream down the straight, then you wandered off track at T1 and for some silly reason I followed you and gave you a bump as we both bounced off the fence. You kept going but Seanus was unable to avoid me and we had heavy contact. I went spinning off up on the right and then it brought me back down onto the track in front of Wally. He missed me but hit the barrier and went off. It was a shame because we had a great battle shaping up. After that I just pushed trying to close the gap to the car in front, made a couple of good passes and had a good time 90

No idea how Mael did the same sort of times and only used 165 in the same car Very happy with my night though. Qual 3rd and finish 4th in race was more than I had wished for |
