I notice on ptracker it says I have auto heel toe on in the aids section,  But I don't,  I just checked to make sure,
why would that be, is there a hotkey or something to turn it on and off per car ?
Must be a bug, I don't have mine on either. It was diplaying correctly for little while after I reinstalled the game not long ago but it's back again

For ac that would be ok although if you run background software like many in-game apps, sim hub, race engineer etc the i5 and 8gb will be the weakest link possibly causing a bit of stuttering. For acc there might be a few cpu related settings that youd need to turn down to maintain a decent frame rate. Do you have a decent cpu cooler for overclocking the cpu? getting more clock speed from the cpu will help however an i7 and 16gb ram will be much better. Try it out first before sourcing upgrades it might be be good enough for you. The 1660ti looks to be a good gpu for a single monitor but will probably struggle triple 1440p (around 11mil pixels) without turning down graphics too much, 4k=8mill.
Sounds good to me anyways and worth trying it out so to spend only what you need.

Thanks guys.
I've been holding out waiting for VR to catch up but it seems GPUs just can't handle VR with a decent resolution and FOV - such as the Pimax 5k.  It also seems that games are behind in their optimisation for VR.

So basically I'll need a 1080ti for triples @ 2k?  Would it be feasible to have the outside screens 1080p and the centre 1440p?

Also looking for a new wheel and pedals.  Thinking the fanatec CSR elite...?
I personally think vr has a long way to go to be ultra realistic and high image quality.
I haven't used triples but from what I've read mixed resolutions and mixed refresh rates either don't work or are a pita.
Be sure to get a load cell brake pedal system it's the one thing that made the biggest difference for my racing "smoothness" I've still got a lot of work to do with consistency lol.
I built this from aluminium profile for ~$1k plus car seat for ~$250. It only has 24" screens. I did have access to a friend who fabricated some of the aluminium parts for me to save money.
Nice rig, looks sturdy, from most video reviews online sturdiness seems to be one of the most complained about, wish I had room for a good set-up like these.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I should get in the way of triple screen 1440p monitors and gpu and CPU to match. I'm guessing my 6 year old (???) setup isn't going to cut it.  Oh and also a cockpit? Thanks.
Something like this, hope you got a big hole in your pocket lol,
https://www.pccasegear.com/wish_lists/425692/Racing%20triples
Add extra for comparable Intel cpu/mobo, add extra hdd's, add a wireless card if needed.
Or try to save a bit on the monitors, eg fhd, smaller size.
The case is one of the cheapest with good ventilation and 4 fans pre-installed, I didn't pick it for the rgb and tempered glass lol.
I've built rigs using most of these parts before and they're decent without going too cheap, you could always get higher end components though. Brand of gpu won't matter too much either and you can go up to 2080ti but going down to 2070 might be pushing it with 1440p triples and the more modern titles, comprising graphics quality settings might get you there but then why 1440p and not 1080p.
As for rigs I don't know, something solid that doesn't break the bank and can fit 32in monitors.

It's great fun and very immersive, but for me the issues of image quality and the "sweet spot" especially the cheap lenovo without eye adjustment, is a thing. I don't use mine much and only with project cars 2 on my old pc, for me it's the only game that just works. Acc still doesn't work for me, when the game loads it's like everything is too low (in space) ac needs a second "profile" set up for apps and everything. It's mostly a pita, when I get chance to race I don't want to spend an hour fiddling with shit. Not to put a damper on things, it might be better for you. If I had room for triples it's what I would do...ultra wide will suffice.

Edit, I meant to post in Jamie's vr thread

Fun nights racing, thanks guys... Sorry for the incident at the start of race two, I moved over to get up the inside of one of the Mr. Bean cars but moved too far and there was no room, my rear end rubbed someone and I turned around...sorry if it ruined anyone's race

Open the readme file from sol for information and you should find a link to the shader patch, or search RD for it
