A few of us purchased the earlier version and had many a good race in vehicles like the BMW minis and some south American cars, on very good tracks.  Unfortunately it didn't catch on... so faded, oh and trucks!
I am thinking about it... will check price and SDD space :)

I have driven interlagos in iracing a fair bit. I was doing some laps at Interlagos for tomorrow night and thought to myself this isnt right, the track itself is good, but to go fast here you have to attack kerbs, in iracing you can no worries,  but if I do in AC I spin, So I loaded up Automobilista Thinking surely they  will have a good interlagos, and they do.  Any way you can go on the kerbs and not spin, i tried a few cars and other tracks, can go on kerbs.
To me it all felt awesome can feel every bump and ripple and imo feels at least as good if not a little better like more connected with the car or something.

Moral of story AC has major kerb issues still :)

being a crap sim driver, I often find the curbs and spin, some of the outside strips can throw you, I just believed it was me.  Thinking back I don't remember this happening in NetKar.

Bruce, I doubt you are a crap sim driver. I would suggest it is your PC. I'm not sure what your PC is but if it isn't fast enough for AC then you will be getting graphics and input lag which makes driving a lottery. That will result in spins, braking issues, handling issues all because you think you just hit a curb but your PC thinks it actually hit that same curb 30ms earlier.

NetKar (and LFS) ran ok on lower spec systems. AC needs a new PC to run properly.

Well I just installed Automobilista and am suitably impressed.  Its not the prettiest sim out there but the feel of the few cars I have tried so far is really good.  Slip streaming and drifting a formula vee through the pack was excellent.  The closed top le mans style cars are also pretty impressive.  I got it free as an GSC owner but certainly worth splashing some cash out there.  Plenty of tracks included and a lot of cars albiet slightly open wheeler focused.
