The 1.6 release notes say ”Engine performance is now dependent on air density/temperature”. It will be interesting to see the effect of hotter/colder weather on Tuesday nights.

As this thread explains http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/engine-performance-is-now-dependent-on-air-density-temperatureny.32917/
Colder temperatures give better engine performance.

This features is an obvious precursor to adding rain support in AC

cold: more powah, less grip.  Neat :D
It's realistic, I like the sound of it.

Those smaller air molecules   ;) :D ;D :) :D Hopefully it takes into account following someone closely. If it is just the weather forecast temperature than that's boring because that will be across the whole field.

I noticed this quite a bit tonight as I was easily able to beat my PB set in RSR conditions at Brands in the 72D running much more fuel and even lower grip. I think had I pushed and had no traffic the temps around 14c ambient would have been about .8 quicker then 26c in this car.
