RACE RESULTS
SEASON STATS

Round Points
Matthew111    64
Marty    62
Phil.8    62
Diehard    58
Shayne    56
Freezer    54
Cursed    52
Wally    50
Simone    48
Keith    46
Seanus    44
RussG    42
Joe    40
Slow_As    38
Bacchulum    36
Grat    1
Mael    0
Shameless    0

Congratulations to Grat on pole, and Matthew for the race and round win.

Lap 1 Penalties
None.
Mael's connection went to rubbish and caused an accident at turn 2, but because it was due to circumstances out of Mael's control, no penalty.

Matthew did an almost unsafe reentry at turn 1 on lap 16, oversteering into the middle of the track causing Phil to have to slow. This is just a caution to be careful about track re-entry into the path of oncoming cars.

Season Leaders (no change in the podium)
1. Marty, 323
2. Phil.8, 314
3. Diehard, 288

Team Standings - Infinity + 1 have overtaken Makin Engineering to take 2nd place
1. Krahl Racing, 536
2. Infinity + 1, 453
3. Maki Engineering, 436

Qual: Bit slow already add 20kg and a bit slower still.

Race: Excellent.....solid 11th  until I came in for my stop - and the arsholes were not ready......I even backed up for them if I'd overshot. No dice. Back out - do another lap or so then in again - this time they were ready..... But position 10 or 11 had dissappeared - came home 14th. Noteable dices with Bacchulum and fun chasing the black and yellow car - after I'd been lapped.

All in all - sad face re. pits = 26 seconds for pseudo stop, which - without the extra stop would have put me in 11th or so - other than that I was happy with my driving...

Almost got dizzy with all the direction changes - but aside from my pit problem - I was happy with my pace considering the 20kg penalty.

Hope everyone else had a fun race.

Time for a shower - covered in sweat !!

If anybody wants to take guesses, this was the log of the race (it says nothing as that in the quali... just some WAS LATE). I checked all temps and they are normal (GPU is between 69 and 72C all the time). I ahve installed some new GPU drivers, but I still get some freeze... suggesting the crash is coming at some point.

Grat, that swapChain->Present failed stuff definitely looks unusual and suss. I would put a post on the AC forums about it and get some support.
It's obviously graphics related in some way. The WindowResize errors are very strange - it almost looks like AC is trying to resize the window while you're out on track.

Yes, Wally:

I saw this thread there and you can see what my question was: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/acs-exe-random-crash-in-large-grid.44347/

Then I also opened this one: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/crash-swapchain-present-failed-and-was-late.44725/

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Grat are you using windows 7?

If so https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=36805  is said to fix the issue.. If youre not win7  then dunno.. seems to be centered around directx and whether your OS is compatible with dx 11.1

I don't understand any of that log jargon, when I had the stutters I was getting lots of the was late too. But my cause seemed different to yours being this program WsAppService.exe that was running, maybe do a system search and see if by any chance it is installed as I assume it must have come with the windows update as I hadnt installed anything other then that update when it turned to crap.

Regarding the race it was a bit of a shame, qualy was close only a tiny margin between me and Grat. The race it didnt look like there was anywhere I could make a pass so my main plan unless Grat made an error was to try go longer then him and pass him on track with some quick laps while he was getting his tyres to temp. Unfortunatly I managed to make contact with Grat at t2 which seemed odd as I was just coasting and even had to go back on the brakes nearly past the apex where contact was made as his car didnt accelerate at all.

Not sure if it was the system or tyre pressures too high but the last couple laps before that Grat lost lots of pace for no real reason.

After redressing which was a bit awkard as I was stopped mid track with Grats car ahead of me blocking my path but luckily the guys behind didnt have too much issues dodging the new chicane.

From there the leaders got too far ahead so I just hoped to maybe sneak in a podium with some luck. Getting going again passing anyone was tough and Grat passed Freezer but I had a real tough time and after spinning Grat the last thing I wanted was to spin another car. I managed to get past after a few laps then Grat had some more bad luck as his PC crashed or something but his car was well off track in the dirt so didnt cause anyone issues.

At that point I think I may have been 4th with Diehard ahead who I slowly made some ground on, I really didnt think passing him would be so easy and luckily he pitted just as I got to him. Knowing my tyres were still ok I tried to stay out as long as I could and put in some quick laps to hopefully jump him after my stop with some clear track running which did manage to work as I pitted just before catching the Wally and Simone battle.

After the stop I just tried to set the fastest lap for the extra point, shame about Grats issues and me spinning him which ended what could have been a good race long battle with Matthew and Phil also close behind us at that point.

Here's my race report, pretty much in one picture.
Followed Simone for an hour like this.

Solid race for me, great battle with Bacchulum but then I suspect my team boss let me through :-[ , then a real laptime tussle with RussG until he ran off but later in the race he almost got me again. We did tangle with him on cold tyres so apologies if I didn't leave enough room there Russ. As is my normal MO i waited for each lapper to light up helicorsa once or twice then seeing as this track is a real one liner I let each past on the main straight. I didn't let Phil through though, I just ran wide there Phil. ;)
Sorry Seanus, the contact wasn't your fault.
I had a plan. I was right behind you when I saw you pit, and decided if I stayed out for 2 laps then pit I should come out in front of you because of your cold tyres, then hope I had enough space to keep you behind until my tyres warmed up. The plan worked a treat and I came out with a nice little gap to you.
The trouble was that Marty hadn't pitted and was between us so I moved to let him through and that let you get right on my bumper.  Then I just tried too hard to defend on cold tyres and gave you a tap in the rear.
Apart from that and a couple of usual brain fades I was pretty happy and got some laps in the 12's.
Some days you're the pigeon,
Some days you're the statue ...

Yeah, my car is awkward in that replay. I was not having problems with pressures. I just lost a bit of concentration because of the strange "freeze/stutter" the lap before and made a mistake that costed me 3 tenths or so. Then I was probably looking in my mirrors a bit too much for the next 2 or 3 corners, but still it's strange what I do in that corner: it looks like I am getting one of those V lines I often take (you must have noticed I do that more than you, given the quantity of laps together we got with these cars) but that should mean I get a nice fast exit. No idea why I seem not to accelerate out of it, instead. Either I somewhat hesitated on the throttle for who knows what reason, or really my PC is doing strange things...

Watching it again, I think I just went a bit long and tried to take a late apex. Probably I hesitated too much on the throttle. That would be it.

Anyway: it was good fun then trying to pass Freezer (took 2 good laps) and then catch up on Diehard. Really a shame I am having PC problems, because I am decent in this car, and races are quite good fun...

Still contact is 100% my fault, I wasnt trying a pass just got caught out a little expecting the car to go not keep slowing at that point but I should have just left a bit more space.
