Title: Windows 10 upgrade over windows 7 home
Post by: Bruce on April 14, 2017, 07:06:30 PM
updates have not been installing for a long time
I can't upgrade Team Speak because "api-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dl" is missing and will not install
I have attempted to upgrade runtime dlls and now AC will not attempt to load any track combo, on or off line
I have verified my installation and about to 'sideline' this current installation and re download, but.,, this will not fix the bigger problem,

so where from at the best price to install/upgrade my valid Windows 7 Home?
cheers,

You should be able to install win 10 with a win 7 key.

I do not understand why going to win 10 will fix you current problems, I am still running an 8 year old MOBO on win 7 with no problems. I never took up the free upgrade to win 10 because I figured it was more likely to introduce compatability problems with such dated hardware. Do you use Ccleaner?

thanks Denis, so do you use the professional version of Ccleaner or the freebie?
I am currently reinstalling AC, if all goes well, I will leave sleeping dogs lie. :)

freebie Bruce, I find it keeps any computer running  as new, no matter how old, registry cleaner is very good.
Go though all available options.

I will install Ccleaner and give it a go, the microsoft distrubutable library is the problem though, me thinks, I can not repair, uninstall or install it, and so the new install of AC, that needs it, will not run either :(

haha I have opened every option, but nothing that allows to go "full" without assists?
at present I just use the in game controls to turn off auto-gear and drive line, will look in the config files tonight.

In the launcher, there's modes like gamer, pro etc. That controls the assists.

Yeah that whole menu system is a bit weird. It's like you go into practice or race, then find the settings there, but they apply globally. Feels like they should be in the options somewhere.
