Hardware & Reviews / Re: New case and cooling

Yeah it ran nice and cool last night even with the fans set to 'silent' mode. Only thing is the RGB fans are airflow fans so I have them on the radiator. It came with two static pressure fans I was going to use for push/pull but there was no room in the top of the case for that. Was only today I thought I should have put the radiator on the front as there is room for push/pull there. I'm not overclocked so no rush to change it but may do at some stage.
Wouldn't make that much difference, until you overclock and pushing the limits

Nice, that case should give you good air flow from the front.

Out of these two the BMW would make the closest racing, it is still quite forgiving if you slide off, then with reverse grid and damage restrictor should keep everyone even closer. For someone who is not consistent (me) the ktm is such a pain, the consistent guys will walk away with it even with reverse grid. I'll go with whatever though I'm easy

But 387.92 had no issues?
I just looked and I'm running 382.33, so I should probably update to something newer. :-[ :-X
Had roll back to 387.92 when the first few 388's arrived because they introduced stuttering and crap for me. 388.43 seems ok so far so I'll use it for now. Try either of those and see how it goes for you. But if you have no issues now you could probably leave it

Yeah it decided to update my driver while playing a game :(   I uninstalled with DDU and got it to do the registry change to stop hardware looking for updates because I don't have the group policy manager having only the home version
Pain...388.43 seems ok after trying a couple of offline races

I'm on creators update (not fall, blocked by using the business channel updates) and today experienced major stutters and even a game crash. windoze decided to update my nvidia driver to 388.13 from 387.92 even though I had previously blocked device driver updates. We now have to block this in group policy editor https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/ I'm going to try the 388.43 (latest @ 30/11/17) if there is still issues I'll go back to 387.92 using DDU. So annoying that this os keeps changing crap without our knowledge or consent, although wouldn't be an issue if it all worked properly.  :-\

Awesome track, great race guys. The car felt really good here and finally tuned out most of the understeer I was having. First few laps chasing humper until he ran wide out of the last turn, up into second. Next half dozen or so I had a bit of pressure from Joe which had me making a few mistakes. Around lap 10 Joe ran wide out of the last turn also, the pressure was off and I could focus on chasing bird. While I wasn't making mistakes I could get close but not within striking distance. Bird pitted and I kept on for another and set my best lap. Hoping to get the jump in the pit I missed my pit marker which cost me a couple of seconds and I came out right behind bird, would have made it an interesting battle had I not made that mistake. I had the sound of the awesome daytona roaring over my head while going under the bridge during laps 19-21. Had big four wheel drift across the grass on the apex on the turn after the jump but managed to hang on luckily. Then got the right rear out on the grass at the pit exit, had another major slide and almost wiped myself out, again lucky and just scraped the right doors on the fence. All my mistakes definitely cost me and would have been great to have a bit closer battles with bird, still good racing and good fun thanks guys!

Ended up working ok if slowly.

Also, they have announced a McLaren GT3 wheel for the Elite at $260 so that might go nicely with the basic wheel that comes with the CSL Elite starter kit.

Good tip, I had to use that one when the first creators update arrived, it gave me problems with gsync and stuttering.

You may have trouble finding Nvidea Control Panel after the driver upgrade Phil, but do not panic there is work around.
