Thursday Nights fun racing / Re: Fun Run Thursday 15th Minis and BMW at Eastern Creek« on: January 16, 2015, 10:34:07 AM »
I was gifted the first race, first by Guybrush getting bored out in front and slowing, then Marty and Gratulin coming together in front of me. I did gain some laptime by following Guybrush's advice ”Less is more”, trying to let the front wheels be straighter before putting the power down.
I kept losing the rear of the BMW downshifting, particularly turn 2. I was mistiming my shift into 2nd , probably too early. 8897

The algorithm needed this tweak to avoid some false cuts. 8898

Are you talking about the distorted FOV in the rear view mirror that makes cars behind look a lot further back than they really are?

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Pit lane penalty app: 2.00« on: January 15, 2015, 11:07:00 PM »DOWNLOAD ATTACHED BELOW Unzip into your Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa folder, replacing any existing files Version 2.00 (Feb 18 2021)
Update - version 1.7:
Update - version 1.6:
Update - version 1.5:
Update - version 1.3:
Update - version 1.2:
Update - version 1.1: This version of the app now gives you a 10 second time penalty added onto your race result at the end of the race every 4th cut (after 3 warnings). You do not have to take a drive through penalty. Just keep racing. You will get 10 seconds added onto your finish time at the end of the race. Update - version 1.0:
New version is attached. If you slow down to less than 90% of your exit speed at any time while you're off track, it won't be counted as a cut no matter how fast you rejoin the track. This gets rid of some cut warnings that shouldn't have been penalised because you slowed down enough while off track. In the previous version, if you left the track at 200kph, stopped, then rejoined at 200kph, it would have been called a cut. It's not in this version. 8901

Here are the RACE RESULTS.
Congratulations to Guybrush ('49), EdWood ('98) and Marty (125) on the wins - a mixed bag! The lesson I learned in the Exos is that it doesn't take much of a setup change to give it too much front grip, making the rear really loose. It needs a fair bit of rear grip. Lotus 98 - I was glad to make it to the end without blowing the gearbox (70% turbo in the end) and did well to come 3rd. I ran pretty high wings like Ed, I think it was, who mentioned it on TS. Lotus 49 was heaps of fun. 8904

I think the lack of scenery/landmarks keeps seeing me forgetting where I am on this one.... I didn't find it that hard. Most of the corners are quite distinctive. 8910
