What is the problem with your Discord Rob? maybe someone here could help :)

Hey Denis, been working on it most of today. Googled every fix but nothing seems to work. There are quite a few Threads on it so it is not that uncommon.

By default, when Discord starts up it runs an update.exe file. At this point it fails to update and just goes into an endless loop of looking and failing to update.

Downloaded latest version, uninstalled several times, restarted the pc several times, renamed the update.exe file, checked Firewall and virus programs checked with Malwarebytes and Spybot. Nothing seems to work.

I'm officially open to suggestions
Could try going into control panel, programs, and run the repair on any of the .net or c++ things that can be repaired

Well, it appears my BSOD issues have nothing to do with my new computer, but my G25.  That's typical, I mention something about still using an old G25 and
then I get a BSOD followed by noticing a burning smell.
I suspect that it was pulling too much current through the USB 3.1 connector and that resulted in the BSOD.

Interestingly I hadn't noticed it playing up, just the smell. I'll pull it apart and see if it's something nice like the brushes needing replacing, if not
then I'll get a new wheel.
Hope that hasn't caused any problems with the new pc. Does the port still work?

I mentioned the other night that my password needed to be reset almost daily. Then tonight STEAM notified me that a new phone number had been added to my Account. Definitely not mine, so sounded a bit suss.

Tried to delete new phone # from Account and now I have to submit a whole lot of info to prove its my account before they will look at it. No big deal as I only have AC and Project Cars.
If you haven't already, set up a steam guard within the mobile app. Just a two factor authentication thing

Sorry to Kcender for the nudge in race two, I honestly didn't think you'd slow down that much after seeing you take about 5 cars under brakes around back section...with cold tyres...ballsy. And Bacchulum for running you off the road later in that race, I ran a bit wide so I let kcender go by, as I came across to racing line I felt a little bump and then saw you in the rear view, didn't see you at all before the bump... Sorry guys.
First time driving these cars tbh I think I like rsr better, at least it has a stick shift lol. Anyway still good fun. I ended up having a few mistakes and couldn't really get a decent set-up, I could make it drive nice, slide predictably and not tank slap but it ended up too slow and understeering (mostly on exit). Like I mentioned before you can tune ac cars to be easy to drive or tune them to be fast, the other part of the equation is being able to drive a fast tuned car lol (not me btw).
Thanks for the racing guys

Definitely needed hp here, the little snub nose beamer was really good under brakes and through the corners but really didn't have any legs on the straights. I dropped the wings down to 1/1 but it still wasn't enough. It seems way too thirsty too. Good fun still and sorry Roo for the incident, three wide into turn one was never going to work I know but I slip streamed you and Seanus slipped me and then that was that no room sorry.

around 8500rpm ?? Only seems to happen with turbo on 100%, on 90% all was fine. Am running the new patch. anyone else

seeing this ?  Cheers Dave O.
I think they were all like this in drm revival mod

thanks,  I thought it might be a lot higher than I was using due to my overheating
track temp is 41, same as the other week when I was cooking the escort tyres

Back at work again ☹️ I tried an ai race in I think 77 porsche and it actually felt pretty good, can't remember my lap time though but horse power cars will most likely prevail on this track

That's no good,  does this mean you cant make it or you want the Porsche ?
Can't make it tomorrow and Tues...

I found the main aspects to this car were that it's easy for anybody to make a mistake that can shuffle the field. Miss a gear change, destroy their gearbox, cook their tyres. You need to manage the car to a degree, so smooth driving is rewarded. It takes more skill than simply being fast. It's physically harder work, I found, and rewarding to race.
Agreed. Hold the gas flat out + a quick pump of the clutch on the up-shift seems to work, heel and toe down shifts with a fair bit of throttle blip as well. Like most cars you can tune them to be easy to drive or tune them to be fast. I don't mind these cars, as mentioned, rewarding when you can it working

Last patch, apart from graphical tweaks, just reduced the Turbo lag so if anything the Porsches should bit quicker. And which Porsche? there are four of them.
Was the Escort overly hard on tyres just at this track or all the time? I can increase cooling, other wise it's just one of the differences between cars.
Haven't really done much testing of any of the cars and tracks so it could just be me. But the tyres certainly did cook at this track with the Escort. As for the porsches, the only one I had driven was the K3, it seemed to turn in ok and was competitive when we did the pre-season practice race but had no chance at the previous round and Mael was way of the pace here, it could be just a track thing I suppose (or porsche thing as bacchulum puts it). Any way if there hasn't been any real changes in the update then its just the way it is, thanks Gee

Was there any changes in the last patch to make the porsche crap, compared to the practice race we had it was shite when I raced it last week and seemed a waste of time to drive it last night. Also any reason why the Escort would completely cook the tyres. Just seems odd
