I was 1.2 seconds faster in the 458 but I use the paddles. I'm sure that in capable hands using a third pedal and shifter, the F40 and X-bow would be much closer to the 458. I didn't give the E30 a go but I'm thinking that it has the most amount of set up options to help tailor it to each circuit. The more that I think about it the more excited I am to see how all these options are going to play into the racing. God knows how I'm to choose just one car! I can't drive the x-bow to any speed, altho it's really quick around the bends. On shorter circuits it'll probably dominate. Logged Bird Administrator Hero Member Posts: 2318 Karma: -666 Ysu Re: Mar 10: Season 6 Car Testing « Reply #3 on: March 04, 2015, 10:01:59 PM » A bit more substantial Vallelunga-test results;I find the 458 rather easy to drive, but hard to pull up. It's decent fast, but it's not oh-so-fast after all. In fact I could go faster in the F40 here - altho it has a bit less acceleration & speed. Also, I got the fast lap in the 458 much easier. The beemer was surprisingly good even with the default set, and I reckon it could beat the others on twistier tracks with a good setup - but setup work is needed. The xbow was another surprise, if you're careful and patient on braking it pulls out of corners like nothing else. The laptimes here for me: beemer 1:49.967xbow 1:48.904458 1:47.984F40 1:47.274I've not spent much time in the beemer and the x-bow, to be honest. Most time spent was...yes you guessed it right; in the F40, hehe. I have to say the grey felt dash is a real classy look in a supercar Logged Wally Administrator Hero Member Posts: 11033 Karma: 152 AC Admin Re: Mar 10: Season 6 Car Testing « Reply #5 on: March 05, 2015, 06:55:58 AM » stracker lap stats. The Ferraris are definitely at the pointy end here. Logged Wally Administrator Hero Member Posts: 11033 Karma: 152 AC Admin Re: Mar 10: Season 6 Car Testing « Reply #8 on: March 06, 2015, 07:34:35 AM » The strategic choice is going to be to pick a car that you are faster than most others in, to get a little bit of a points boost, since the amount of bonus is determined by the average best times for that car. If most people are slow in your car, bringing the average down, you'll get more of a bonus (I expect around 1 or 2 points). That is unless you're in the fastest on average car, in which case you get no bonus.I'll put up points after this test race, so you can see how it works out. I tested the 458 and then the KTM, then I remembered the ptracker thingy. So I installed ptracker and then tested the F40. I managed to get a better time, but still no sector times... It did say I have a valid time Do I need stracker or change something in ptracker... me bit stoopid Logged Gratulin Hero Member Posts: 2159 Karma: 44 Re: Mar 10: Season 6 Car Testing « Reply #11 on: March 08, 2015, 11:41:39 AM » Quote from: StanDaam on March 08, 2015, 10:22:23 AMI was having some 'testing' fun last night . You need to run one timed lap offline on the specific track to get sector times. Any car will do. No need for ptracker while doing lap. Looks like I need practice before the start of the season!! Currently at pos. 163. Just ran the 458 last night and struggled getting any speed around the longer corners as would just hear tyre squeel and under steer. May give the cross bow a try tonight.
