I've decided on a car, Wally.

The Toyota has the best sounding engine, the most unobstructed view and doesn't need pit stops.
So I'm going with the Porsche. 8)
First and foremost because the Toyota SQUEAKS! >:(

I'll go the Toyo   ;D
You like the sound of a gerbil in the rear end? :o :P

Wally, I said LMP1 previously, but am happy to move go GT3 if you feel there are too many going with LMP1.

No need... there's still a bunch of undecideds and people might still change their minds after some practice races. We'll see how the final numbers pan out.

After a practice race I'm going to have to change my choice. The rapid LMP cars plays havoc with my poor internet connection so I'll revert to the slower GT3 class. Only the ultimate driving machine is good enough for me so one of the BMW please Wally.

You have captured perfectly why I will drive a GT3 car:

Que?  :o
What do you mean plays havoc with your internet connection? It shouldn't make any difference.
Anyway, change noted.

I very often get "micro-lags" which causes cars around me to jump around by a meter to so. Unfortunately with the faster cars the distance cars jump around feels bigger increasing the risk that I'm going to bump somebody offtrack by accident.  It may also be my imagination  :o

A couple of changes after the practice races:
  • Tyre warmers will be ON (so that tyres don't get too cold on the formation lap).
  • The LMP1 class should stay in 2nd gear on the formation lap to maintain a consistent speed. Once the leader passes the start line, he can go.
I also decided a little while back that fairness, all cars will have to do a mandatory pit stop where tyres must be changed.

I am not sure I understand the tyre warmers. Tyres were not getting too cold, but rather they were not getting to optimal temperature. At those speeds we will have to waive as much just to keep them in temperature. So I do not see much benefit, while I see less tyre preparation challenge for quali.

Anyway, if you feel like it is best, then good.

As for the gear: can't we just agree on a speed? There are issues with charge consumption and rears slip in 2nd gear that may benefit a car over another. It seems easier to just say "keep it under 100kph and keep an eye on the map"...
