Mod Tracks / Re: Real-lifeTracks in Assetto Corsa« on: December 27, 2014, 08:30:51 AM »
lol. AC the present that just keeps on giving.
Bruce, Solitude is not for the feint hearted, and will probably need a few practice laps for anybody who has not raced there before. Probably not be a good candidate for a public server at present. Just in case anybody else was disappointed with the sound of the Lotus 49 in the V1 release, I have replaced them with the sounds from the McLaren m23 (http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/mclaren-m23-1973.12254/). A distinct improvement until something better comes along. Just copy the McLaren_m23.bank file and GUIDs.txt file from the McLaren sfx folder to the sfx folder of the 49. Change the name of the McLaren_23.bank file to Lotus_49 and change every reference to the McL in the GUID file to Lotus_49 and you are good to go. rob 437

Solitude 1964 has been released in Beta form.
Next to Nords this was my favourite track in GPL. Track side objects are pretty rubbish at present, but if you can notice that, then you aren't driving fast enough. They have Historic Revival meeting there so presumably the track layout should be fairly accurate. I can't believe that they used to race motorbikes there. Just a hoot to drive in the Lotus 49. http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/solitude-rennstrecke-1964-by-neelj-and-rainmaker.18439/ rob 438
Assetto Corsa / Re: AC V1.0.1 (with Ruf Yellowbird) Released« on: December 26, 2014, 01:52:16 PM »
Wally, the masochist part of that statement is the "H shifter". Tried it with mine and the fun factor ended pretty soon. Either blowing up gearboxes (within the first few laps) or losing the back end because I cant heel and toe. I HATE the way AC has modeled the H shifter.

Couldn't agree more Marty. There was only 2 of us on the track but I can't remember having more fun. Exhilarating. 447

Thanks for the "heads up" Bruce.
It will give me time to start saving. I've already got $200 doing nothing now, should be able to double that by May next year. 449

Wow, nice time Aiman. You are in the slowest car and still faster than me in the M3!! Looks like I've got a lot of work to do.
