Anybody know of some kind of pit-stop timer app?
« on: September 12, 2016, 04:40:33 PM »
A few friends and I are planning on doing an endurance race at a Sim Racing LAN that is happening at my house this weekend.

As part of it, we're having a mandatory 3-minute pit stop for toilet breaks. We were just going to use our mobile phone timers to track it but were worried that this might prove unreliable/cumbersome. I really don't know anything about python and I've been reading stuff all day to try and figure out if I can make an app to do this from scratch, but if there was an app that did something similar to what we have in mind maybe we could deconstruct/edit to work for us.

Basically, all we need is when someone stops in the pits, a timer (that displays on screen) starts, then when they leave the pits, it sends a message to chat saying "[driver] pitted for x seconds".

Does anybody know if there's anything out there that does this or something similar?
