Managed to qualify 4th tonight but the smallest early jump cost me a drive through. In my panic at the jump start I pulled second early and completely
bogged it down dropping way back. I then had contact with a spinner at turn 1, so almost everything had gone wrong at this point!!
But then it got good. From 15th I started hauling in the pack. I found the Maki well balanced, with just a few setup clicks here and there away from default and
slightly lowered wings. I was grabbing spots every 2nd lap and ran right through to 3rd on lap 19. Pitted two laps later for softs and was able to grab two spots back
and was hauling in Bacculum but ran out of laps!
Got home 6th in the end for a pretty enjoyable night.
Can't say the same about my team mate Mael, who appears to have had a second disconnect!
Final skins for Team Maki Engineering. Mael and Freezer.
Almost there, the skin names are wrong. Also Your skin seems to be a copy of Mael i.e.still #7 Can you check that and edit your upload.Fixed duplicate #7 and renamed 2 files in both skin.
UPDATE: can see it now in game, so will possibly do some more tweaks before final upload. Thanks GzeroD
Below is the link containing both mine and Mael's car.
I edited the following files:
Just need to make it work now . . .
GzeroD.Sorry about that Freezer. Only one car ran in 75, the 35 of Trimmer, so that skin just uses the dds from the model. The other two skins aren't meant to be there, I left them there by mistake.Awesome thanks for that...!
I can edit the dds files you sent pretty well and I created a new skin folder and put my new design in there (overwriting the existing one) but I still only see the blue 35.
Why does my new skin not appear? Can this be fixed?

Should I collate all submitted skins and include them in the Patch?Hey GzeroD,
I have a problem with the Maki skins.
There are 3 skin sub folders. 35 has no body.dds file, Pace and Reuterman both show a bt44carbody.dds file in the Martini design yet the actual car in all three cases
is a blue Maki design.
I just want to slightly amend the blue Maki for Mael and Myself but cant see where that .dds file is.

No templates came with the mod, but painting should not be that hard without them. CM can always tell you the texture name of any part you want to paint, or maybe CM can show the mapping too."CM" ? . . . content manager?
Can you elaborate on the method here with no template?

I chose to run hards and see how they went last night. Thanks to a good start and a few people slipping I found myself in 2nd.
I soon found Wally closing on his softs and he eventually slipped by. I was most vulnerable under braking where I found it very easy
to lock up so I was braking early. I pushed on for a pretty consistent run with only one small slip. The tyres held in well and I wasn't getting
any damage so was able to run to the end. In the dying laps I had RussG bearing down and would have likely got by if it wasn't for a few
small touches. Interestingly I was the 2nd slowest of the top 10 for outright lap times but got home 3rd!
Definitely get my vote, just have to work on some speed!

My experience was that on mediums I set my best times in the 2nd last lap of both races . . . so no drop off!Bit surprised no-one joined me on the hard tires for the second race, it was the faster tire in my opinion. Unlike the first race the front tires got warm enough to be sticky, I could see how my laptimes were dropping lap by lap compared to the drivers in front of me. Sadly had to disconnect due to poor internet.Interesting to hear that the hard tyres came good in the latter stages of the race. I was tempted to try them, but chickened out when I saw my slower initial lap times.
