Next week is either going to be awesome or the worst thing I have ever done.Next week is your 100th Tuesday night race. Celebrate it at the Ring

The halfway point of the season takes us to the big one: The Nordschleife (Endurance Cup layout).
The 1975 grand prix was won by the Argentinian Carlos Reutemann in a Brabham.
You will need the OSRW PIT MOD.
The race will only be 7 laps (so I may have to adjust fuel and tyre wear after some testing - perhaps make them just 1x for this race). If anyone has any thoughts on pit stops in a 7 lap race, shoot. It would probably be best to not require a pit stop - but we'll have to see if tyres can last the full distance without a stop, even at 1x.
Also, I'll make all of practice a qualifying session, so we can actually get more than 1 qualifying lap in.

now waiting to see if Wally gives me a penaltyNearly... then nearly Matthew... but in the end, couldn't really single anyone out for blame.
also - did anyone else need 170+ litres to make the race or the DFV in the Lotus rather thirsty ?Yep, 160-ish for me in the Surtees. It comes down to the track having a high full throttle percentage.
I managed to pick my way unscathed through the start incident - I think I was about 7th from a start of 15. But then my bogey corner, Stowe (the 90 degree right hander) caught me out twice in the next two laps, with me botching my downshifts and sliding off onto the grass and into the embankment and copping wing damage - an off that didn't happen in all of practice, of course. That put my down in 18th for a while, but I climbed back up.
I had some good pressure put on me by Jeremy and later Rob, who both seemed to be able to enter the corners much faster than me, maybe with higher downforce. But then I could usually get a better exit speed and take off down the next straight. Jeremy reeled me in, but I managed to hold Rob off to the end, finishing only 0.2 sec in front of him, in some good pressure racing.

Phil follows up last week's win with another, leading half the race from Kcender, who lost the race lead after apparently opting to put in a big fuel load at his stop.

Congratulations to Kcender on pole and to Phil.8 for the race win.
I have to call the start accident a racing incident: Matthew was faster than Russ in front of him, and at the same time, Mael got the jump on KCender who bogged down in front of him, and had to go around. As a result of that, Mael and Matthew tangled wheels in a side-to-side impact, that was probably difficult to avoid on a starting grid three cars wide.
Phil manages to pull clear of Kcender to take the championship lead.
1. Phil.8, 90
2. Kcender87, 83
3. Matthew111, 76
That was totally human error!I have not changed anything, I use the same config each week and just change car and tracks, but I have noticed that sometimes lately my shifter will go to 1st when meant to be in 3rd and if I alt tab out and look at fanatec properties it shows in third so not sure what's causing that, I have been lucky it has not happened in a Tuesday race yet, just in qual and practice, but you can bet ya bottom dollar in will happen in a race this week now I have mentioned itWonder if that what happened to Wally on Thursday night. Remember at some point as he had an off he said he got the wrong gear.
I gave up trying to race on Thursday night due to stuttering graphics. It was minor but undriveable. This had just started happening this week - don't know why. Thanks for the tip - my performance was a little stuttery too, but I also just had the big Windows 10 1803 update, so I don't know if it was down to the track, or the Windows update. I have to do some more testing.
I've only tried the XGN servers, both Tuesday & Thursday. No, haven't changed any settings other than tracks/cars for ages, that I remember. But I'll double check.
edit: there's not much you can set server-side. On the Tuesday practicer server, ABS and TC are factory, stability control is off, autoclutch is allowed. That's all you can change, controller wise.
