Fixed it.
Wasn't the 32 bit thing but looks like I had too many cars installed (687) in the cars folder, so deleted 46 cars and it now works.
Might have to look at my tracks folder as its got 490 tracks.
Might have to get my head around this content manager thing. Is there a manual/how to for it?
I'd just move them all to another folder and then copy the ones you think are worth using back into the main track and car folders (all KS tracks and cars of course). I did that and haven't found too many tracks I am missing and most of those I needed a new version of anyway.

Sounds like you'll need to fix that 32bit switch as that should never be needed.
You also must use 'Content Manager', not that the mod is incompatible with the standard launcher it's just that 'Content Manager' is so bloody good it deserves the imperative. ;) Especially as the standard launcher is a steaming pile of proverbial. >:(

Double check you folder structure with the download.

You may need to delete the 'Assetto Corsa' folder from within your 'My Documents' folder, but that involves losing all your settings. >:(

I suspect the 32 bit problem is my Windows installation as I also cannot get RF2 to run in 64 bit, but I can get lots of other programs to run in 64 bit so not sure how to fix it, and I don't want to do a new Windows install if I can avoid it.
Did delete the 'Assetto Corsa' folder from within your 'My Documents' folder, but that didnt fix it, but as mentioned in another post it gave my fps a big lift.
Could Steam be the problem?
I guess that is a common thing with AC & RF2, but how do I check that?
All files successfully validated.
I was thinking that you have somehow ended up with a 32-bit Steam install or some setting that is forcing 32-bit versions to be downloaded. A re-install of Steam should be a lot less stressful than a Windows re-install. I admit I am on a 100mb, unlimited internet connection (Phil are you listening!!) so a re-install of even the whole of AC is not a big issue.

Are you after 60s circuits? Zolder67 is good but in Belgium.

Otherwise or as well - Sachsenring is German and is a good mod and we have raced there before.

Can anyone really blame me for still running Win7?
Not a month goes by without me hearing somebody say "Win10 screwed up my settings".
Surely they should have this shit fixed by now? ???
Wally and I only mentioned Windows 10 for YOUR benefit  :o :o

I gave up trying to race on Thursday night due to stuttering graphics. It was minor but undriveable. This had just started happening this week - don't know why.

I did some research and someone suggested renaming Assetto Corsa folder in Documents to force AC to recreate that folder. Once I did this the graphics stuttering was fixed. I am also now using PP filters with success which I couldn't do previously. Worth a try for anyone having less than stellar graphics performance.
Thanks for the tip - my performance was a little stuttery too, but I also just had the big Windows 10 1803 update, so I don't know if it was down to the track, or the Windows update. I have to do some more testing.
The sequence for me was - Windows 10 1803 update last week > AMD driver update to support new Windows version (WTF?) > stutters in AC > reset AC > seems ok now > touch wood!!!

Good fun! These cars were good to drive but really tricky if cars ahead did something unexpected. Seemed to spin easily as soon as you tried to brake or swerve suddenly mid corner.

but I didn't feel like doing a full race blue flagged

There where no blue flags in 1975 as far as I know, so don't actively defend but no need to jump out of the leaders way  ;D
There have always been blue flags.
Pre-late-eighties there was no hard and fast rule about getting out of the way within 3 posts though.
Lapped drivers still got out of the way even though there was no rule, until the late 80's where they ignored the etiquette, so the rule was formalised.
A bit like bowling underarm in cricket......
I've always found the concept of blue flag rules strange in a sport that basically goes around in circles every minute or so. Why should someone with a faster car feel entitled to get a free overtake when everyone on the track is in the same race? Why should they only have to overtake someone once in race?

There are already so many anomalies in F1 such as - cannot overtake easily, safety cars deciding race outcome, debris on the road causing punctures, drivers running other drivers off the road etc etc. The skill in overtaking slower, lapped cars is just one more driver skill that would improve the competition.

and one more thing while I'm at it. It is pathetic to hear entitled brats complaining because someone who is driving their guts out in a slower car didn't get out of their way. They are race drivers for godsake!!!

And don't get me started on tennis players who complain if someone sneezes while they are serving :)

I'm not kidding!!! This combo is a lot of fun - I managed a 38.9s lap  8) 8)

We might be using the wrong version of the track mod. It should be this one: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/barbagallo-raceway.4407/

Also, need to check two things:

1. Need to be Friends in Steam to see other laptimes.
2. Need to use same car - I mostly use the Holden Commodore but is you try each car you should see laptimes.

Incorporating Gratulin's insight with G0D's and my agreeance, I'd say it's a vote for the GP track.
Unless Gratulin meant an entirely different combo.
I was just concerned that visitors might struggle with the car and high speed bowl. Slower, easier cars might be better?

Hotlap Challenges / Supercars Challenge: Barbagallo

Track: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/barbagallo-raceway.4407/

Let's try another hotlap combo using "Friend's Leaderboard"

Scott McLaughlin did a 00:54.5730 in Sunday qualifying last year.

I'm down to a 00:57.062 after a couple of laps and default setup. I reckon someone should be able to get into the 55s with this mod even though I think it is a little slower than real life.
