Hi guys, might sit this one out tonight and wait for the 1975 Season  ;D ;D ;D

 Smart man ;D

Cutting
C'mon guys... we've done 21 seasons! If you don't like getting cuts, keep it on the black stuff. It doesn't take long to figure out where the danger spots are - just be careful in those spots. In a longer race (being 3 times longer than some of our sprints), you are going to get more cuts.

We suppose to simulate F1, cutting is almost mandatory as well as moaning about everything.

Race too long?
There was a comment that the race was too long and the field got spread out. I think it's OK... a longer race opens up more pitstop strategies, and is more of a concentration test. This is F1, after all :)

I like the longer race, just a bit worried we might lose a lot of drivers during the season. The high tire wear also forced most of us into the same 2 stop strategy at approximately the sale laps, but this is highly track dependent so may not be a problem during a season.

Multiple short races is also better for new drivers, nothing so disheartening than making a mistake on the first lap knowing you will not see another driver for the rest of the evening.

Did a season in these at ROOZ, strategy choices were fun. We did a couple full gp distances and 2 and 3 stops were both options. A 1 stop would be too slow as running heavy loses heaps of time and a fuel an tyres stop was usually about 20 secomds lost but could be 2 secs per lap faster.

Thus after a season with the F2004 Marty can confirm my view that the 1975 cars are a better choice  ;D

Yep, really enjoyed this season. Always like close bumper to bumper racing.

Agree, was a good season.

Well done with the championship Seanus, it was a good effort taking into account you missed the first round. I will waiting for a delivery of beer as thanks for taking Bacchulum out in race 1  ;D

Alfa at KS Brands Hatch GP could be tempting Phil.

Brands Hatch Indy would be even better!!!!!

were fun races, tactics would really have been interesting if we had 10 more drivers. As it was I got lucky race 2 with Kcender and Phil keeping each other busy.

Nope  ;D

Did a few races with Raceonoz with the F2004 and have to say it was not my favorite. Could never get the front working as it should.

So my vote is for the old school, even if its a mod.

So its going to be Seanus or Bacchulum. Or someone can take them out during the race and ensure victory for me, any volunteers?   ;D

Bit surprised no-one joined me on the hard tires for the second race, it was the faster tire in my opinion. Unlike the first race the front tires got warm enough to be sticky, I could see how my laptimes were dropping lap by lap compared to the drivers in front of me. Sadly had to disconnect due to poor internet.

Race one was fun, got stuck behind Dadio and Simone and had a good battle to pass them. Again the harder tire helped during the second half of the race but the cold temperatures of race one gave a lot of understeer, even more than usual for the "POS".
Interesting to hear that the hard tyres came good in the latter stages of the race. I was tempted to try them, but chickened out when I saw my slower initial lap times.
My experience was that on mediums I set my best times in the 2nd last lap of both races . . . so no drop off!
Agree with it for the first race, too cold for hards.  But for the last race the 2nd last lap were a bit of an outlier compared to the neighboring laps. I decree it was talent over grip.   :P

While waiting on Jamie to show us how to fit a bigger turbo onto a Subaru (and beating dents out from track-day scrimmages)

Here is a image before replacing inner and outer sills on the drivers side, welding helmet waiting patiently under the car ;D
