Could we put up the Cobra/Mills long combo on one of Marty's servers to verify it is a server problem?

yes this would be a good test, MARTY!!!!!! if your out there can you do this for tonight?

in the mean time I will check the current server files.

Or I can set that up on my server. I also have a free AWS instance. Seems to me the Thursday server has more serious issues with all the names getting confused etc.

lets give it ago... if we run with your server, will just need to copy of the sTracker db, maybe Phil.8 may be looking into to this too, not sure?

Just set it up on my server and got the checksum!

20150818_162936: Dispatching TCP message to shelby_cobra_427sc (0) [Joe Stevens []]
20150818_162936: Checksums received from  Joe Stevens []
20150818_162936: system/data/surfaces.ini  ok
20150818_162936: Car checksum  shelby_cobra_427sc false
20150818_162936: Car checksum failed
20150818_162936: SERVERCHAT: Joe Stevens checksum mismatch. Kicked

Its the Corba not the track. Now to figure out why...

Well for my server it was the data.acd file. Even though the one on the server and the one in my content\cars\shelby_cobra_427sc folder were both 165KB there must have been a difference, because once I copied that one to the server and restarted it I'm getting in every single time.

I guess now I need to figure out if my local data.acd is definitely correct by doing a verify files in Steam.

If anyone else wants to see if they can connect on my server it's called Kernow Bys Vyken

Great, I  connected 3 times in a row. So now, why did Rob have problem with Caterham and me with
the Alpha. But this is great progress. ;D

I guess it's just differing versions of the data.acd file. The one that was on my server had a modified date of 01/08/2015 and my local copy was 15/08/2015 so I needed to update my sever version.

Bruce/Phil, when was the server files last update on the Thursday night server?

What's weird was that if I kept trying last night it let me in eventually, even though the files are different. I guess perhaps the bug is that occasionally the checksum gives a false positive  ::) What's also weird is that Wally got in first time every time.

nice investigation work Joe...
away thinking....

the files were all done by Andrew at ?
So I don't know why mine had intermittent problems and then cleared with my new local install?

If this happens to rooshooter again in the cobras on a server again, may be he should rename the directory and verifiy and get the cobra again.
hopefully he will not be experiencing this problem again with the server file change.

As both roo and myself had a lot of issues connecting to the Thursday server but can get into mine no problems I'd suggest trying to update the cobras data.acd file on the Thursday server and see if we can get in.

late update, I have replaced the offending data file for the cobra on the practice server.

the next problem, I can't find the track download that matches the track that Gratulin's server has!

Any suggestions? Even a track change to: golf or another.

Kowabunga! I've been worried about this, glad it is fixed, albeit late.  See you on track, at last!

Noice! So pretty weird that if you tried again and again it would eventually let you in
