Damn, it's not working. OK as an inhouse track but some may want to play the original bathurst at other servers(including me at ROOZ).
Will have to rethink this. :-[

Sussed it out. Put original track in a subfolder with the same name as th track folder. 8)
Infact I just turned a lap at Bilster Berg on a German server, which must have had all checksums turned off because it loaded my version.

Bugger it. I'll just put any and all files my layouts' need into a separate track folder. Some resources are doubled up and some people may take umbrage at me repackaging their imaginary property but until a better method is worked out it'll do for now.

Zolder 1967 with the hole outside the last turn fixed, gridspots up to 36. Invisible wall removed alongside the pits.
Like in the halcyon days you can enter and leave the pit lane where ever you choose. This will mean remembering where your pit bay is as you don't get to see it until you enter the pits. Also spins on the last turn will no longer destroy you when you over correct and end up in the pit lane.

After working on Croft 2007 and fixing some errors done or left over from the conversion, I moved on to Highlands Motorsport Park and again came across various errors with the conversion. So I looked into converting a track myself and here is my first effort.

Croft for AC from feels3 for rF2

Four layouts:
Full
Club A
Club B
Circa 1995

A few things I'm not satisfied with, let me know if you notice any.

The only criticism I  have is the look of the trees ( two plane only image) other than that, to me it drives , feels and looks very good. I always thought it was a major undertaking to convert a track, did it take you very long ?

Glad you noticed the trees. rFactor2 has trees that turn to face you, but they can't be converted(as far as I know). I'm still comparing other AC tracks to figure out better trees.
The armco glimmers a tad but not sure if its any worse than other tracks.

As to how long, well I'm still working on it, learning as I go for about five days now. The simple conversion is only a handful of hours but then the never ending tweaking comes into play and I like to replicate all available layouts thus adding to the workload.

Cheers

A real labour of love, and striving for perfection, I could certainly name some other Rf2 tracks for conversion when you have it down to a fine art, great work so far thanks.
