A night of opposite halves for me.  I'm mostly blaming myself for what happened in race 1 as I kept my foot in it where I should have backed off
to get back on the track safely. As it was the car ended up jumping off a grass mound which somehow damaged the car causing the front left to
fall under the track, eventually the whole car went so had to shut down acs.exe in task manager.

Race 2 a rare Win for me. Phil was definitely faster with a 1.38 but somehow a combination of mistakes from both meant the positions stayed the same.
I watched the replay a bit afterwards, I was running different gearing than most which gave me higher speeds on the pit straight, 164k's, but probably
slower elsewhere. Sorry for thinking You were holding back Phil, but one gets strange ideas in the head whilst watching the rear view mirror.

Yeah, I was really pleased with race 2. I make a lot of stupid mistakes in general - hitting other cars, having stupid offs, often driving too close to the car in front and putting myself at a disadvantage. I tried to drive "smarter", so I held off a bit more, waiting for the right opportunity, pressuring the car in front a little bit, but not at the expense of my own speed or racing line (mostly). I had a great time moving from last to 3rd, taking quite some time to pass cars, knowing I had the pace. Made some passes, got passed again, made the pass again. I was pleased with the result.

Congratulations Wally and imperious, this car is throwing up some different winners 8) in 6 races no one has won twice. I still enjoyed the night even though I was last in both races, as there was always someone to chase. I knew I would be off the pace from my best lap times of 1m41s , on this track it was just the best I could do :'(. It was a great moment in R2 coming into T1 3 abreast :o :o and we all survived, I think you get to know the other drivers pretty well, when you race together a lot :). It was also nice to have a visitor from near the track, he probably lived in Riga Latvia.
Looking forward to next week :).

Hope your back mends quickly Bacchulum.

Race 2 was probably some of the best racing I've been involved in. Defending and attaching at the same time is always tricky and GW good defensive work compressed a lot of us into a very small piece of track, made for great fun!
